Neither is true - from God's perspective. However, the more likely/feasible one, is the beliefs - from man's perspective

**Reason why the beliefs over sins - you do what you believe, and not always do you believe what you do.

Exo 34:6-7 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

The sins of the parents will have an effect upon the lives of their children and grandchildren.
Margaret Sanger's father was a drunk.
She became an atheist, a racist, and founded Planned Parenthood.
We're still feeling the effects of that one drunk.

OK. Those are two totally different topics.
(1) Sin of the parents affecting the lives of the children.
(2) Eternal life.
Please talk about only one at a time.

please consider both together and not one at a time - why not start your own two topics one at a time - twinc

My brain only works on one subject at a time.
Eternal life and the effects of the parent's sins on their children are two very different topics.
They don't mix.
