I get the sense that Trump's poll numbers are low, the GOP isn't entirely behind him, and he has powerful enemies. These factors combined could make for an impeachment, which would be a definite blow to the religious right that helped put him in power. I sometimes wonder if Trump's presidency is a sign of the end of the white, GOP-voting, Protestant bloc's dominance in American politics. On many major issues, Americans are polling more left, so the GOP -as a whole- is also increasingly out of touch w/ what citizens want/need from the gov't. Even the DNC is now, slowly, moving to a more progressive way of being, because The Clinton ways of "doing" politics is not going to work these days.
