Are they getting hard to find? The church I'm a member of had a full time Minister of Music when I joined. He led Sunday worship, Wednesday and Sunday night music before going to choir, (Wednesday's), choir practice, children's choir, Prime Timer's choir(over 65), orchestra practice, led hand bells, which he also played, along with the piano, and sang. When he left, we had a hard time replacing him. In fact, the people interviewed, some of which had just graduated from Seminary with music degrees, couldn't do a third of what he did, nor did they want to try. We now have a Worship leader, who sings, plays the guitar, and leads the choir. Other people in the church lead the other activities. We have also been told that it's quite possible that when our organist retires, we will no longer have an actual organ, maybe just a cd, because fewer people play the organ. Is any other churches having this problem?
