the old days they went to the creek.. there could be other churches close by that has a baptistery. i realize the cold temps in ohio my wife was raised there.. she was baptized in the winter time.... i bet there is a church has a baptistery and they would be more than happy to let it be used.. when i was baptized they borrowed the 1st baptist church

I'm certain that you and your Pastor have spoken on these and other things and what I wanted to tell you is that I have spent many hours pondering what this particular verse actually mean. Good, fertile ground there.

And congratulations HeIsRisen2018, on your Water Baptism! We are proud of you and your confession of faith in our Jesus, the Christ.

offended nahhh a good pastor will do what it takes to make it special and that includes immersion if requested
 
Yeah, but that doesn't mean he's a bad pastor if he doesn't want to do it that way. Now seriously, that's enough.
 
April 15th won't be long now ! Way to go. Good news. I think Ezra is trying to show you that Jesus, the apostles and disciples were all baptised by immersion. But it is your choice.

Thanks! And no it's not my choice it's my pastor's. And it really isn't any of their business what he decides to do.

you went from happy excited to posting every little detail to the point its no ones business ,,while you have your feelings hanging out.. your pastor should give you a choice, is my only point.. it is no matter to me one way or the other . i do believe in full immersion. sprinkling or dumping water over the head is not how I believe.. i am not your pastor nor you . so just easy on the feelings this is not your nature

Hey guys, I really could use some advice about this. As April 15th is quickly approaching I'm feeling very excited about the next step in my relationship with Jesus Christ and not being ashamed to admit that I wish to follow Him publically. My only problem is that my pastor really wants me to read my testimony and a poem that I wrote in front of everybody and that's the part that makes me nervous since I tend to get stage fright. Any tips on how to handle this? I really want to do it I'm just scared that's all.

you tell him your not comfortable with it.he should respect that

<okkkkkkk> the only way to do it is just step up to the plate and do it . this might be like pouring water on a duck back..but so what if you miss a few line get nervous.. if your doing it for a show.it will be a failure ..but if your doing it for the Glory of God,,it will be a success no matter how much you mess up pray first then by faith step out and do it

Imagine everyone sitting there in their underwear :lol.....................just kidding as you needed a laugh.

You have a beautiful testimony that others need to hear and who knows, there may be someone there that needs to hear it and come to the Lord by that of your testimony. Keep your mind focused on what God wants you to do as being a servant to the Lord and you will be just fine.

Thanks. Love you sister. :hug(and I don't think that trick works by the way but I can't say for sure since I never actually tried it thanks for cheering me up though lol :lol)
