Hi Tessa - praying for your daughter! That's an awful thing to go through (for all of you) and I can certainly understand why she's struggling with her faith.
One of my favorites is Psalms 42 and the phrase that repeats after all the mentions of tears day and night and taunting and persecution:
Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.

It has helped me and I hope it helps you too!
Thank you Lisa that is a lovely verse. Thanks for the prayers too.

Lord look down on this precious one. Give her the strength that she needs at this time. As a God of mercy and the God who is our healer remove the fear and draw her closer to you. Give her peace and the quietness that the enemy will try to remove. He is a liar and at this time we ask that healing will be done in your time. We wait on you and thanking you for your goodness. We ask all in Jesus' name. Amen.

I'm so thankful that you're there for your daughter, especially right now. I'm also thankful that the UK still has the NHS. I cannot tell you how rough things get for a lot of Americans when medical emergencies hit....even in the middle-classes, even with adequate insurance, medical bills often play a role in bankrupting families.

Maybe The Lord will use your example to your daughter as a way to bring her back to Him? I don't know, of course, but it makes sense to me, personally. I sometimes think The Lord spared, saved, and re-created me in large part for my parents' benefit, for example.

anyway...keeping you and your daughter up in prayer. Please keep us all updated on how things are going. :)

Thank you CE for your prayers and kind words. God is good and I know He will do what is best for her.
I believe God saved you for your sake because He loves you. There must have beenuch rejoicing in heaven when you turned to Him. You faith gives glory to the Lord.

Wonderful news. My daughter told me yesterday that she still believes in God and the Son of God, although she still refused to pray. But she told me she sometimes goes to bed hugging the bible. She can't read but knows what it is.

More great news. Today we went to the hospital for her ultra scan. The doctor told her that whatever they had found a couple of weeks has completely disappeared and she is now clear, at this time.

Thank you my friends for your wonderful prayers. Glory to the Lord for His mercy and kindness.

Amen! That's amazing news Tessa! Thank you for sharing!

how's her mental health going? I'm glad she's close to you. I've found that reconciling w/ my parents has reduced a lot of my "symptoms," Praise God!

anyway...thanks again for giving us all an update. :)
Hi CE. Her mental health is up and down. She hasn't heard voices or imagined things for quite some time. She talks very loudly all her waking hours, and gets very anxiouz but hasn't had an acute panic attack for two months. So it is a lot better than usual at the moment. She is obsessed with herself, how she looks (she is attractive), fashion etc She is influenced by other people. A big battle going on inside her.

Thank you Ezra. I do hope she prayed, this is what I have been praying for, for a very long time. But I know that God won't force her to turn to Him. I'm praying that He will soften her heart. She used to have a tremendous faith when she was young .

Can I please ask you to pray for my daughter.
She had breast cancer and went through the chemo and surgery. Today was her yearly review and they are not too happy. She has to go for an ultra sound in about four weeks. She is devastated.
She had many health problems including mental illness and I don't think she is strong enough to go through it all again.
She has lost faith in the Lord And I want her to love Him again like she used to.
Thanks
Tessa
Battling cancer can cause horrible suffering for the patient. I know from personal experience witnessing this in my own family.
I wept and repeated my love for the one that left my life to that horrible disease. I would miss them terribly and thought the world was over if they didn't share with me. The regrets boiled up too because there was no more time to make up for those with new and better memories for us both.
Then I realized how selfish I was to think their suffering here was far better for me to have them with me than to be eternally happy and at peace with God.
Cancer didn't win. She did.

Mind over matter is everything when battling cancer. How we think, and what we cleave to helps or hurts our healing.
My family member was miserable in their personal life and saw death as a relief. But they were torn because they wanted to live for their children's sake and so they didn't have to suffer the loss.

The ultrasound is so far away. I pray your daughter thinks positively. See's herself healed and happy and flourishing cancer free right now. So that that test weeks from now confirms it for her medically.
Maybe have her think how much Jesus suffered the torture the Roman guard put on him before he was finally nailed to the cross. Jesus never lost hope, though he feared that fate while praying in the garden. And even asked his Father to save him from that destiny. But had that happened we would be doomed still.
Jesus overcame what this life's trials laid upon his flesh. And your precious daughter can too. Put her trust in the light of the world. The loving physician that created the world and all things. And can heal anything at all.

Lay it down. Let it go. Rise up renewed and healed. It is my prayer for your child in this battle she wages. God can do anything.

Blessed Be. :cross
