This is (yet another) Praise Report, plus a (not too urgent) prayer request.

The Lord has done a --mighty-- work in my life and my parents' lives! Over Christmas, my mother literally said to me "well, you're a member of the family...," and that was...a miracle, all by itself. I --was-- wretched, unrepentant, all sortsa trapped in the miry clay, until by some miracle...I came to believe upon Jesus! Now, I'm definitely a work-in-progress, but The Lord has changed me so, so much...my parents seem to not only love me in the sense that good parents love their children out of obligation, but they seem to actually like me (sometimes, lol), and they'll chat me up a bit, spend time with me, etc. My dad takes me out for Sunday drives around more rural parts of the area, and its awesome. Not a whole lotta talking most times, but enough, and I get to enjoy Sirius radio ((classic vinyl, anyone?)).

Now, Mama's stressing out. She's fast approaching retirement, Praise God (!!!), and I think she over-works herself, compared to her colleagues, so...well, she'll be outta there soon, and she's looking forward to it (I am also, of course...). Mama also has a relatively minor, outpatient surgical procedure coming up. God has been good to my parents, too; they have good jobs and excellent heath coverage, so this procedure is being done in a good clinic, by a specialist. She seems to be fine with it, my dad's playing cool about the whole thing, and I don't think the recovery time is going to be all that much. And yet...I get nervous. I actually (gasp) genuinely care, and I certainly wouldn't wanna be cut on myself, so I ask that your pray that The Lord sees her thru this procedure (please).

I felt badly for mama because of her upcoming procedure, so I gave her the mother's day gifts early. I'm a big believer in supplements (I do Orthomolecular to help with my mental 'affliction' and overall health...I recommend it to everyone...), so I tried to figure out a way to get her to take supplements. My parents eat well and they're healthy, but...supplements are a good thing, in my book. So, I got to thinking, and lately she's gone from dyeing her own hair to going to a young lady, so I thought...appeal to her vanity! The online place where I buy my own supplements was having a sale on "beauty from within supplements," basically supplements for hair, skin, etc. It was kinda spendy, but I got a couple bottle of a mix for hair, skin, and nails. I hope it works...it got good reviews. Its a mix of some basic vitamins and antioxidant blends, etc. I also got her a big bottle of hippy conditioner for thick, chemically treated hair. She seemed pleased :) .

I Praise God for His work in my life+my family's lives. I also thank y'all for your prayers. :)

.
Was the supplements named “Vainness in a Jar” for old people? Instead you might ask God to return her to the time of life as He did with Sara and made her young again so as to have children whereas she was taken from Aaron a second time because of her beauty, and Abraham had to lie about her being his sister to save his life.

You know, there are also disadvantages to being young. Would she become just a trophy wife in the eyes of society, become looked over because her intellectual skills would not be considered important in comparison, and the very worst of afflictions set in: narcissism? Oh, the humanity of it all huh? :shame

Dear Brother CE, I sure will pray for her operation being successful.

LOL. Quality reply as usual, eugene.

I just think everybody needs vitamins. That's what the Orthomolecular people say. I've been trying to get my parents to take stuff, to no avail, so I thought maybe this hippy beauty stuff would be the ticket. It has stuff in it that should be good for overall health (here's hoping, anyway...).

Thanks for the reply and your ongoing prayers. Its odd. I think I may be dreading her procedure more than she is, lol. This is what specialists are for, after all...

Thanks again. :)
