Well today ended eventfully. My 3 year old Turner fellout of his main floor bedroom window. I think he was reaching for the blinds while on timeout and the screen let go. He fell about 4 or 5 feet maybe a little more. Needless to say he broke his collar bone. Nice huh? Try to keep a 3 year old inactive for a month. Auuughhh. Jill

Sounds like it will be a tough task. Better get the Vegetales videos handy...

There was a boy in our neighborhood who fell out of a second story window a few years back and fractured his skull and broke a bone in his neck. He had to wear one of those halos for a long time but he fully recovered. Its scary to think about those things happening.

Glad your son is ok (for the most part). I pray the Lord gives you some creative ways to help him pass the time and that his collarbone heals well and quickly.

God Bless!!

I feel like the worst parent in the world this week. As if it could get worse we (well my hubby) had to bust down the bathroom door literally to save my 1 year old. Mac had gone into the bathroom while the tub was running and opened the vanity drawer so he was blocked in the bathroom. Everyone is ok....lots of broken wood and dust from the plaster. Ahhh Please keep my family in your prayers.

I realize this is nearly 2 weeks old now that I am reading it but I just want you to know I am praying.

I am not sure I have ever met one mom that didn't have those "I must be the worst mother in the world" moments. I think if I was ever to meet one, she would probably be one who cared nothing for her kids. We all have those days, weeks, months, however long they last. Take some comfort in that.

When my oldest son was 2, he had found his dad's razor in the garbage and tried to shave with it - where was I? Why wasn't I keeping a better eye on him. Why didn't his dad put the razor in a different garbage? Well -because we are human and prone to make mistakes. Luckily, he only took off a little skin from the tip of his finger and had a little razor burn on his face - but it could have been so much worse.

The best we can do is trust our children to God and have Him lead and guide us through each step.

How are things now?

If your hubby needs pointers on getting things repaired, let me know. I may be able to help.

You and your family continue to be in my prayers.
