Yes, this thread will be nauseating for some, but as christians we should edify not tear down, I also realize that it's ok critize him, but i'm just curious to see if any of his sharp critics on this forum will say anything positive about him. I fit that category

i think the way he changed the focus in afghanistan may work, only time will tell.

Praying for obama

Issuing an executive order to stop prosecuting medical marijuana patients in those states where it is legal.

I'll add more late Jason...sorry...in a zone

I think Obama is a key tool of judgment on America and is carrying out his role very well. He will also lead us into new world order very sufficiently. He's a very fine tool of satan. :thumb

Hmmmmm, that is the first time, that I have heard that one.I voted for him, because I thought he was the best man for the job, But I also voted for Bush 2 times, and being a black republican, was looked down on, but anyway I switched parties for Obama, the abortion and gay thing is what I have a problem with. Otherwise, I am ok with him.

Press. Bush called the nation to prayer more than the other presidents combined.

President Obama has lots of good qualities, no doubt, I just strongly disagree with him on key issues.

By a 52% – 42% majority of U.S. adults think that President Obama has been doing an excellent or pretty good job handling the situation in Iraq. Among Democrats, the president receives very high marks (80% – 16% positive) while Republicans think the opposite and give him a very poor rating (74% – 22% negative). Independents are closely split with 47% rating him negative and 44% rating him positive.

Even though President Obama has been in office a short time, the U.S. public is giving him a positive rating on his handling of Iraq. Further, his rating is higher than expected for how he handled Iraq back in January. However, the public hasn’t come around to thinking that going into Iraq in the first place was the right action and the U.S. public doesn’t think that U.S. combat troops will actually leave Iraq by the August 2010 schedule that the president has set. Nonetheless Americans do sense improvement and feel that things are getting better in Iraq. What is unclear is whether this assessment is due to actual conditions on the ground changing or due to an effect stemming from Obama’s overall job approval as president. As President Obama’s overall job rating as well as his rating on the economy has started moving downward, one thing he can feel cautiously optimistic about is how he is rated on Iraq.

It's only been six months. If Bush couldn't be blamed for 9/11 then I wouldn't be blaming Obama for the state of our economy. I can;t wait to see what he will do next. As a Christian and a nationalist, I will trust the leader we chose to deliver us safely. Not be negative not be unfair towards his ability.

I have several examples...

- The closing of Gitmo
- New direction by CIA and others in interrogation of prisoners (i.e. no torture)
- Cancellation of $10 billion plan to overhaul helicopter fleet for President
- Arms reduction deal with Russia
- Tax cuts for 95% of working Americans
- Starting the dialogue on reforming our healthcare system (I don't agree with a gov't run option however)
- Increasing troop strength in Afghanistan and starting to finish the job we should have taken care of prior to going into Iraq
- The draw down in Iraq
- Bringing an end, for at least the next 4 years, to Cowboy Diplomacy
- Taking action on beginning our journey towards energy independence
- Turning down hundreds of thousands of dollars offered to all entering presidents to redecorate the White House and instead fund it from his own personal budget
- Keeping Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense

Not an all inclusive list but a good start. I think if folks look past their party / political leanings they will see that Obama has accomplished quite a bit in a short period of time and no one could see everything he has done as all bad.

I've agreed with some of the things listed. Other things, I think it's far too early to tell.

One thing that I do approve of Obama is that he did not release those controversial pictures of already resolved reports of abuse by servicemen which would have had no other purpose but to stir up anti-American resentment. :thumb

Oh, and I agree about getting the kids the dog. All kids should have a dog!

Great add handy! He really displayed his support for the troops and his willingness to listen to his military leaders in the field.
