John 3:6, That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

This of course describes a birthing, which also means the source of the birthing is a father.
This relationship can be seen in Adam's relationship with God. God was Adam's creator, not his father. Adam was a created being, not birthed, therefore had no nature at the time of creation.
Gen. 2:7,
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God breathed into Adam and he became a living soul, which is not the same thing as a living, quickening spirit, Rom. 8:11,
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

When Adam believed what the devil told him, he became a fallen creature and received a sin nature.
That nature is what has plagued mankind from the beginning. If you deal with the nature you deal with mankinds sin problem.
That is exactly what the cross has done, nailing it to the tree. Now the believer is free to chose another father.
Jesus came to give you the free gift of His Father. His Father can now become your Father, and with the exchange, comes the exchange of natures,
Rom. 5:12-15
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

It is not that Adam believed the devil, he went along with Eve... Adam was there and could have said :NO!" to Eve, but he had a crush on her, and went along.
1 Tim 2: 12 But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not beguiled, but the woman being beguiled hath fallen into transgression:
15 but she shall be saved through [1] her child-bearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with sobriety.*n4
