So, why Can't you, ...Saint....Born Again Believer, who is "In Christ", a "Joint Heir with Christ", who (you) is currently seated in Heavenly Places in Christ, who has been translated from darkness to Light, adopted "in Christ", who has the very Righteousness of God given to you as "the free gift of Righteousness when you were "justified by faith without works", who has been eternally sanctified and eternally redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb and "sealed unto the day of redemption" who has "Christ IN YOU the hope of glory<> (heaven).
= So, why cant you go to hell? ??? ?????????????????? ?

The answer is Very simple...
Hell is the eternal penalty for sin.
Hell is God's judgement against Christ rejectors who died in their sin.
Jesus's has died for yours, and because of this God will never hold you accountable in ETERNITY for what Jesus has died for on Earth.
= God does not judge twice.
So, you will not be judged for SIN in Eternity, because Jesus has already paid for all of your sin and DIED.
Therefore, the penalty for "sin", which is Hell, (God's judgment against Christ rejectors who died in their sin) = will never be applied to you in eternity because this judgment has already killed your beautiful Savior on a Cross.

That's why it's so important to keep believing.
Faith is how we access God's power to protect us for the salvation to be revealed at the Judgment:

"3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (1 Peter 1:3-5 NASB)

I've got my chest waders awaiting the donning.... it's lookin' like it's gettin' a wee bit deep in here!

"Innocent" ???? Really????

Okay, everyone.....back to topic!

Well I'm not debating. :nod Our faith is by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our believing is by the power of the Holy Spirit. If we truly believe (by the power of the Spirit) we will be kept by Christ Our perseverance is by the power of the Holy Spirit. God is for us. He has equipped us unto every good work. 2 Timothy 3:17 We are HIS handiwork, created in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:10. And 1 Corinthians 1:8 …7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.…

We don't do the keeping, HE does. It's a work of God. This is how our God is for us. He calls us, and then He keeps us.

What do we do? We follow. When you love someone you spend time with them. You follow their example and do the things the Master taught. It's a natural process done from a spirit of love and not fear. Love casts out all fear. 1 John 4:18

These are the messages we ought to encourage each other with. :amen

How does one "keep believing?"
Good question. Perhaps a good way to approach it for the purpose of our education and edification is, "what does 'believing' look like?", so we can know if we are indeed continuing to believe.

I just know from my own experience that there's this connection between my appreciation of God's forgiveness, and my desire to not want to sin anymore. Perhaps that's why the author of Hebrews speaks about the return to willful sin as a contemptuous trampling underfoot of the blood of Christ by which we were sanctified (Hebrews 10:29 NASB). When we purposely choose to sin we are showing contempt for the blood of Christ. Believing for me seems to be about 'how can I purposely sin knowing that God has graciously forgiven my sin?'

It reminds me of the parable of the unmerciful servant in Matthew 18:23-35 NASB. He was forgiven by the Master, but went right out and acted like he was oblivious to, or did not care about, the tremendous grace he had just received. And Peter says that the person who lacks the qualities of the Spirit in increasing measure is the one who has "forgotten his purification from his former sins" (2 Peter 1:9 NASB italics in original).

So it seems that to 'keep believing' and the desire to not sin, and to walk in the fruit of the Spirit are directly related. IOW, we know if we are continuing in our faith by our attitude toward sin and our growth in the fruit of the Spirit. Paul talks about how our character development leads to hope (Romans 5:3 NASB). It seems to be a circle that perpetuates itself. Hope gives rise to faith which gives rise to love (the fruit of the Spirit), which gives us hope:

4because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace." (Colossians 1:4-6 NIV bold mine)

When you see this unbroken circle of hope, faith, and love in yourself, each building the next one up, you know that you are indeed continuing to believe in and cherish God's forgiveness and have the full assurance of your faith.

The Lord YahWeh keeps in perfect peace whose mind is focuses on Him because His child trusts in Him. Isaiah 26:3
Your faith comes from hearing the Word of Messiah. Romans 10:17
Papa Zoom, I cannot do either without asking for Help from the Spirit of God.

Well, thats the wonder of salvation.
Its not of us, its all of God.
Some understand this, and some are still trying to earn it.
This is the confusion that some have who have not understood that its God who saves, and not "faith".
"Faith", released GOD......to do something, = once.
We are born again just as we are saved......ONCE.
This is Salvation.
We gave God our faith, and God gave us His Grace..... and Jesus who IS Eternal life then came to live within....(Christ in you the hope of Glory)., and THAT is what saved us...as who else but God can save?
Faith is what God accepted ONE TIME, to SAVE YOU for ALL TIME.
The problem that some have, is that they dont understand that its accomplished, and that is why they are still trying to get it done.. Still trying to work it out.....Still living in uncertainty and trying to create this uncertainty in other believers.
However, The real believer understands that God did it for us already, its finished, its completed, and that is why we are "born again".
