[__ Prayer __] no, really; die to self daily

ive been praying for this, and God has been working and is working in this direction. I -am- increasingly, genuinely thankful. I actually chatted up my dad this AM about his generosity and kindness towards me, giving me -space- in which to genuinely heal and recover. I think...he sees a -definite- change from the votoile, self-centered brat I was, before Jesus saved (is saving, I pray will save...) me.

I was thinking of this myself just a few minutes ago. Dying to self - seems like a lifetime battle.

This process is very difficult and challenging I find. Less of me and more of him. Denying the flesh through fasting, cravings, fleshly desires along with a plethora of temptations to resist. Denying my feelings I find is the hardest, but God gently reminds through Jonah that there is no reason to get mad and upset over insignificant things, like learning to never take things personally either because our battle is never against flesh and blood. I find myself having to remind myself often lest I fall into the trap the enemy has laid out for me. I’m thankful gor the gift spiritual discernment.
