Does Christianity today need ammendment? Or has it already undergone series of unconsciously executed ammendments?

I remember the song: Old time religion is good enough for me.

I often hear parents tell us how they were so zealous with the things of God, in the 70's and 60's (as if they have gone on retirement today, and probably); and how people reverenced and had the fear of God in them (not the dread of Him - but deep respect and love for Him).

Things seem to have fallen apart; we can't fit into the Christianity of those days, I think. The fire is burning out.

Glad that our CF.net granny always tells us: And there will be a great number of people who will make it to the real Promised Land.

Old time to us today was the sixties.
Old time to those in the 60's was the 40's.
Old time to those in the 40's was the 20's.
Old time to those in the 20's was the 1800's.
Old time to those in the 1800's was the 1700's.
Old time to those in the 1700's was the 1600's.
And you can keep on doing this tilll you get back to the beginning of time..... long before the birth of Jesus.

So..... just how far do you want to go back to call it the right kind of religion?

I would say as far as it retains the true elements of the unadulterated Christianity.

Actually it is painful when I look back at those folks only to realise that they are sitting on the face. Apathetic! All they do is shout at our flaws

You probably can't. If there was one thing Jesus was, it was non-violent. Yet even Peter, after being trained by The Master for three years, reverted to using deadly force at Jesus' arrest. And we, down through history, have consistently brought violence (our true enemy) to the forefront in "Religion."

glad i don't have religion
Christianity started out in Palestine -it was a fellowship/ relationship .

Then it moved to Greece it become a philosophy { way we think}

Then to ROME it became a institution a place to go..

Then to Europe it become a culture a way of life.

Then it moved to the rest of the world .it became a enterprise { a business }
NOW ITS JUST WHAT WE DO !!
