I began to talk about this before but I made some people mad I guess, so I let it go and haven't pursued speaking on this again. The problem I'm having now, is that the Lord continues to show me scriptures which affirm what I have said...that we are to be living under an open heaven, with access behind the veil of the supernatural.

In these end times we should mature and grow into the truth of what it means to be a mature Christian. In this way, we can be useful to Christ and the Kingdom, instead of stagnating in our growth. It must be important, for the Lord keeps reminding me of it and showing me new things about it in scripture. So I think I'm to bring this up again here and talk about it.

I encourage you all to debunk me, with scripture. I have a lot of scripture to back me up on this, so do be thorough if you attempt to explain that I am wrong about this. Besides, who wouldn't want to live under an open heaven?!

I'll begin with Jacob's Ladder. Jacob's Ladder (Hebrew: Sulam Yaakov סולם יעקב) is the colloquial name for a connection between the earth and heaven that the biblical Patriarch Jacob dreams about during his flight from his brother Esau, as described in the Book of Genesis.
Genesis 28:10-22 describes the dream that Jacob had about a ladder which goes from earth to heaven. Notice it does not say from heaven to earth. I read Matthew Henry's commentary on Jacob's vision to see what he had to say about it, and to make sure I wasn't way off in left field. Turns out I'm not, lol...Here's a link to that:

(Excerpt)
Jacob saw a ladder which reached from earth to heaven, the angels going up and coming down, and God himself at the head of it. This represents, 1. The providence of God, by which there is a constant intercourse kept up between heaven and earth. This let Jacob know that he had both a good guide and a good guard. 2. The mediation of Christ. He is this ladder; the foot on earth in his human nature, the top in heaven in his Divine nature. Christ is the Way; all God's favours come to us,.../

Constant intercourse kept up between heaven and earth. Yep. :yes

I believe Christ did make a way into the heavens - both now and for eternity. I guess that other than a few weird sects out there, not many believers would think we do not have an open 'line'(ladder) through Christ?

Eph 2:18
For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Not only that, but it is through the "Church"(which simply means the ones called out) that the way is known and made known.

Eph 3:7-12
Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in(by) God who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

I guess the question I have for you is, what are the specifics of what this means to you - to us?

Rev 1:10 John was caught forward to the Lord’s Day to see things supernatural to him, and receive the Revelation of Jesus.

1 Cor 12:2 Paul was caught up into the third heaven & paradise to receive the message he was to speak by our risen Savior.

Mat 17:3 Here we find Moses and Elias talking with Jesus on a mountain.

Having been crucified, Jesus traveled into the lower parts of the earth in Eph 4:9, and then ascended up far above all heavens according to Eph 4:10.

Act 1:3 (Jesus also) . . shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days.

There are also the three appearing to Abraham in Genesis.
Gen 18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
Gen 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground.

That we know who we are and walk in it. If us believers really knew the extent of who we really are in Christ, the enemy would fear us and leave. The prayer request forum would be full of crickets. We keep asking for God to help us and give this/that, when He's already done so. I'm getting to the point where I think that not walking in it, is unbelief. Before the first Adam fell, man walked in daily face to face relationship with God. We lost that in the fall. When the 2nd Adam came, we were invited back into the same model of relationship that we were privilege to before the fall. When Jesus resurrected, it was valid and restored right then. We're dropping the ball by not receiving it and walking in it. Seeing beyond the supernatural veil is supposed to be normal Christianity. And there's hints about it all through the scriptures. Jacobs ladder. From earth to heaven. Who's made out of the dust of the ground? So the ladder starts with us. Me. You. When Jacob woke up he said, this is the house of God and the gate of heaven. We are the house of God. (Know ye not that ye be the temple of the Lord?!).

16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.../

But they didn't teach us that! They taught that interaction with the supernatural realm was (closed) dangerous, occultic, and not to be messed with. Normal Christianity is ascending and descending, watching Angels, open communication, open heaven. It is 100% safe because it is not something that we can do on our own. It is the Lord. It is not a gifting, but a growing up. There can be no progression into this type of a deeper walk with the Lord, without taking upon you the very character of Christ. The key to it is keeping His Word (being obedient) and not denying His Word (In scripture).

That may be hard to do. We were taught one way, and like the familiar. New stuff is scary. Usually the immediate reaction would be to (play it safe) reject it. Go back to the program that our church up the street taught us when we were young and first got saved. We're all guilty of this, even me. I've never seen beyond the veil. It's all spirit led, it has to be. Our focus is only on learning the mind and character of Christ. Reading the word and praying are more important for growth than previously realized. The Lord has times and seasons for everything, and the time has come for His people to go all Isaiah 60. I do believe this is done by taking on the mind and character of Christ and walking in the same love towards our Brothers and Sisters that Jesus waked in. We can see that gross darkness covers the people now, things are noticeably getting worse.

II Corinthians 12:7 KJV
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

I think a managed heaven might be more appropriate to discuss. Not near as exciting as an open heaven but possibly more biblical.

I am in the briar patch trying to deal with the ox right now, but I think I can shed some light on Jacobs ladder later.

II Corinthians 12:2 KJV
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

The old man can not utter some things, but the new man might (?).

The NT still has some wondering.

The physical about Jacob.
More than likely Jacob had a crick in his neck (numb from back of head down through shoulders,

Nerves carry messages from brain to toes and nerves allow the toe to send messages
Back to the brain.

Heaven functions this same way, but it is angels carrying the messages from God to man and back.

Jabob is probably there with his natural senses blocked, and gets a sense of the spiritual.

Man was made in the image of God and Jacob probably, on a low level, got a glimpse into spiritual things.

Revelation has a vision in the spirit:
A throne is seen
Elders
Beasts
Actions

The kingdom of God is in us.
The natural pacemaker looks like a crucified man. This is physical.

The quickening spirit of Jesus comes into our heart.

We have at this point options:
Run jump shout
Or
Stand in awe and wonder how we help others. In heaven was the Father who sent his Son.

On earth is still work to be done. We see into things, but there is the fire too. Not lampstands but purifying fire. Not the swing from chandeliers but oh goodness .......

Hebrews 10:19-22
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.../

Here's another scripture I was shown. The Holiest in the temple was where God actually came down and sat to chat with the priest, right? The Holy of Holies, this is the same thing isn't it? It's how I took it.

Revelation 3:8
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.../

This seems to be talking about the same thing.

The Apostles walked in this (most of the time) too. I've been told that, that was for the Apostles and not for us. But the more I think about it...the Apostles...Jesus planted that seed in them back then, what's it supposed to look like now?

Now that's a new picture for me. I never thought of that, but it makes sense.

I have noticed that the circulatory system of flesh man looks suspiciously like trees. Maybe there is something to that. I'm going to chew on that for awhile.
