Our Father in Heaven Prayer

Here follows a passage found in most christian bibles. In the faith I was raised in it was called 'our father'. This is a direct translation and is different in content and context from what is in most bibles.

O Cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration!

Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space
within us where your presence can abide.

Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered
to bear the fruit of your mission. Let each of our actions
bear fruit in accordance with our desire.

Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each
being needs to grow and flourish.

Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us,as we
release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.

Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from
our true purpose, but illuminate the opprotunities of
the present moment.

for you are the ground and fruitful vision, the birth,
power and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made
whole once again.

How did you get hold of the "Our Father" prayer in Ancient aramic?

It's just that the oldest manuscripts are in greek. Could it be that you've fallen foul to a hoax?

Wherever did you hear that the new testament was first in aramaic. The new Testament was written in either Greek or in Latin. In 397a.d. the council of Carthage certified the canon. At that time original manuscripts were in possesion, groups of books like Paul's letters and the Gospels were preserved and then the 27 books of the new Testament were put together. I don't know how Aramaic translations would have been found. Also what you have written there doesn't sound much like the Lords prayer. Anyone see the Hopes & Dreams musical @ it, that was written by veteran Paul Field?

He took each phrase of "The Lord's Prayer" in turn & wrote a song to amplify & expand thoughts & feelings behind it

Like him, I've always explained that Mark 11 lesson as the Lord's arrow prayers - I don't think, for one moment, that Jesus wanted us to ruin it by weekly parrotting the whole thing & thus robbing it of its rich treasures of meanings & purposes

Hopes & Dreams climaxed in Sir Cliff Richard's *1 hit, 'Millenium Prayer'

It toured UK in the lead-up to the Millenium, as a heart-cry for a deeper & more meaningful prayer life for all who hear it

I saw it at http://www.prestonguildhall.com - which is regularly a venue for events put on by Preston evangelical churches working together - just as they put http://www.LuvEsther.com on there a few weeks before the Feast of Purim - to encourage all true believers to 'be strong & do exploits' in whatever situations God puts us in
