so....

you know the link goes nowhere, right?
Havent checked this in a while.
We had to move because that particular hosting company was a complete joke.
The deal was great...but the service was another matter.

I changed to the new site...

I fully understand regarding hosing issues - been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

Your site looks good.[/quote:3da3b]
yeah..that guy.
The site would be down for DAYS at a time and I couldnt get him to answer the phone or respond to an email. We gave him a few chances then I told him we were moving.
AFTER the move we got an email that was addressed to all of his current customers saying that he was upgrading and the uptime would be better, but as I told him, it wasnt only the downtime that was an issue....it was complete lack of tech support that caused us to leave.
it was my first paid hosting account....$25 a year...I learned a lesson for sure. Go ahead and pay $200/year for the good hosting at a reputable company. More money, far less headaches..
:)

I just noticed a typo in my post...but, somehow, 'hosing' is applicable.

yeah....'hosed' would be a good description of what happened :-D

Well I am a Christian church planter with 2 new sites. One is to help Christian Singles and it's called:

Christian dating Service Plus!

The other is a web hosting tip and review site for churches, Christian online businesses and minsitries:

Affordable Web Hosting 4U

http://affordable-web-hosting-4u.com/

Thats a very informative site you have there.
If you dont mind, Im going to toss up a link one of our pages to help folks who come thru who might be looking for reviews for hosting. I wish Id seen your site there BEFORE I got my first paid hosting acct....it might have saved me some money and aggrivation.

The reviews for godaddy and IX webhosting are pretty good.
I was using Godaddy for a while, but they charge for things IX gives me for free, plus the really limit how you can use your free emails.
IX webhosting lets me distribute my email boxes as I see fit among my domains and even subdomains, believe it or not. Godaddy was a real pain in that area. I could only assign the bulk of my email boxes to the main domain that I originally opened the account with. That was terrible for us and part of the reason we left.
The other Godaddy failing was that they dont have a throttle policy enabled that I can set for each of my sites.
when we were hit by some weirdos using Gigaloader there was no way to slow it down at Godaddy. They literally could have run me into bankruptcy if they were more persistant.
With IX I can throttle my sites in any way I want so that the the site wont allow any more bandwidth than Ive permitted.

IX webhostings Unlimited Pro is a great plan and their tech support has been top notch.

Interesting.

The host I hated the most isn't on the list. Just as well, even bad advertising is too good for him.

I tried GoDaddy, too - the support was terrible.

I heard that Godaddy used to have bad support. They really seemed to have changed that part because now when you get done talking to them they email you a 'how did I do' questionaire.
There was only one tech rep who didnt seem to know what he was doing, but all the other times I called they were very helpful and very professional.
:)

My husband and I run a design firm where we have made numerous websites for clients. We always first suggest ChristianWebHost. They have been great with hosting for us as well as clients and their tech support is very quick and very helpful. Whenever I email w/ a question, I usually get a response within a couple hours. Today I had to call about something and the problem got resolved within just a few minutes! I highly recommend them and it's great to work with another Christian company, too.

Blessings,

The website has a good simple look to it. I enjoyed browsing it. I am with yola and they have pretty good support for their hosting.
