Do the Amazon ads here pick up and try to match keywords (similar to Google ads) or does someone here pick out the products to be displayed?

I think it's generated based on keywords, just like Goolge AdSense. But that's strange becasue this is the first time I've ever seen the secret mentioned on this site before. :chin

(there might be a bit of swearing)

My ex-psychiatrist gave me The Secret, as well as Oprah on The Secret. I found out that it was just New Age Christianity. I tried so many times to tell her that "loving yourself" does not lead to true happiness and that Heaven is a real place, but Oprah got to her before I could. :screwloose

I'll let "The secret" out of the bag:

It's new age religion, disguised with Christian sounding terms. New age religion = old fashion sin.

That's why it is imperative to only get "Christian counseling". New agers have nearly taken over the whole of the field of Psychology. It's a shame, but it's true. An alternative is to find a church that has a certified counselor on staff. But be careful there too, because I've tried both Presbyterian and Catholic and they have hired outsiders that do not stick to biblical counseling but are so liberal one would think what the heck are they hiring these "secular minded liberals" for to counsel Christians?
Yep, wacko so called "professionals" are out there infiltrating the churches also. :screwloose Talk about screw loose counseling. Can't trust the pros any more than ya can trust the clergy these days. Gotta be careful with most everyone in choosing counseling. Before even allowing any sessions to take place, I would recommend asking questions as to what type of counseling they base theirs upon... and if you hear some weird descriptions that are not based upon biblical standards..... RUN :scared as fast as you can if they try to tell you unity of all types of religion is biblical! Mixed messages is not what you need to hear from a counselor whose not grounded in Judeo Christian teachings.

And as far as those ads from Amazon.com..... I think it's a shame that they mix new-age "junk" material in with "Christian" based advertisings. And it really does bug me to see it being displayed in a Christian based forum. :gah

Sad to say.... But for some it's a matter of not even thinking.... What's sacredness have to do with making money? Surely Amazon.com doesn't give a hoot about that! :sad
