Pink Floyd is number one!

No, led Zeppelin is number one!

You are wrong, Pink Floyd is number one!

Hey, you are both wrong. Don't you know that God is number one?

Ahhhhh!

:amen

Apart from "Fool in the Rain," I can't really stand anything by Zep.

Pink Floyd is much better stuff IMO.

I downloaded Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, CD a few weeks back, had it on album years ago. Now as for Led Zepplin, I saw them here in Philadelphia, in 1972 I will never forget that show. And as for right now, I have Led Zepplin 1 through 4.

I find something very "spiritual" about "In the Light".

And if you feel that you cant go on. and your wills sinkin low
Just believe and you cant go wrong.
In the light you will find the road. you will find the road

I agree... "In My Time of Dying" as well has some interesting lyrics... then again of you play Stairway to Heaven backwards you can hear.... :biggrinevil ..only kidding :)

We don't get the same access to these bands as far as tours go in Australia so while I have seen Pink Floyd, I missed on Led Zeppelin. :sad

For me (depending on the mood):
Led Zeppelin
King Crimson
Dream Theater
Jethro Tull
Mike Oldfield
Rush
Yes

.. hard to pick a number 1.

Been listening to lots of Rush lately. iTunes rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! :shades

Berlin Philharmonic are incredible!! The Herbert Von Karajan rendition of Bach's Brandenburg'g Concertos is unreal.

As for Rush... been really listening to Vapour Trails lately... very good!!! I think it was the different sound with the multi-layered volcals that initially makes it sound a bit muddy that may have put me off. About to delve into Snakes & Arrows.

A guitarist in my church often will play the song stairway to heaven in worship.

This was a time when hell had a hold on me, hook line and sinker. When I hear it I flash back
and thank God he brought me out. Some folks aren't so fortunate they are wandering
around in darkness right where Satan wants them, not knowing their right hand from their left, we are called into service, we have a responsibility, salvation is the the word, the harvest is plentiful..

Matthew 9:3 5And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Floyd is awesome, but I'll have to say that Zepplin wins for me - more my style of music.

And I know I'll probably get bashed for saying this but I think that Dark Side of the Moon is one of the most overrated albums of all time. :)
