This forum has been DEAD!

Sooooo I thought a new thread was in order. I think this would be a very interesting topic to discuss, as we are all young adults making the transition from teen-hood to adulthood. So the proposition is to share your future plans and how you see yourself sharing the Gospel in your life.

This can be any length you'd like, but the basic idea is to state what area of your life you see yourself working in. This could be a future job that you hope to have...going into higher level school (MD, schooling in general if college was put off), or just community through outreach programs where you live. I will eventually share mine, but I'd like to hear from other people first. :yes

It's not a matter of making mine up to par...I know what I'm going to say hahaha. I just don't want to bombard the thread with plans from the get-go. ;) Please share...as much as you would like.

What I do think is that as the church awaits the coming of the Lord, individual discipleship and personal encouragement can go a long way with people.

What people new to the faith, or weak in the faith, need is Christian company and encouragement, as do also those who need to be pointed to the Savior.

Blessings.

Couldn't agree more. And this is what I'm looking for, but perhaps more specifics in each person's personal life. For instance, a short version of mine would be that I hope to be a middle school teacher and simply love on the kids I teach with Jesus-like love. Easier said than done, but that'd be the simplified version. I have a much longer one ready.....:lol

I'm not completely certain yet.
I'm highly interested in attending an art school. I could use some of my art to spread the Gospel, and some of my artwork already has been Christian-themed.
I also have some interest in Christian apologetics. I think I may have a little bit of talent in writing informational articles, so it's something I could maybe see myself doing on the side.

Whatever I do, I hope to live my life in such a way that people will see God's love through me. I want to give my best effort to anything I do, and I want to help and encourage people.

P.S.
Another thing I was considering...y'know those pregnancy clinics that try to discourage people from getting abortions and help in any way they can by offering alternatives and support?
I'm interested in volunteering at one of those at some point.

Interesting plans. Thank you for sharing. :)

I really like your idea of volunteering at an abortion clinic or whatever you want to call it. The girls there have likely done some things that they aren't proud of or have had things done TO them that they are ashamed of...
Seems like the perfect place to share the love and grace of God with the Gospel...whether it's through your words, or simply your actions ;)

I wouldn't call it an abortion clinic...that'd have some bad connotations to it considering I'm prolife and that it's actually a place that as part of their mission tries to discourage abortions. I've always heard it referred to as a pregnancy clinic. Not sure what the official term is.
Thanks, though.:)

Another thing I want to do is to help people in need...one area of interest for me is people with depression, or similar problems. Maybe it's just because I've had brushes with depression myself and because of that I feel like I'd be able to help.
That's not the only need there is, I know, but depression is one of the cruelest mental illnesses.
I would like to do something that involves helping people, anyway.

Well I have numerous plans will list them as they come too me...

1) Maintain my current marital union. (Recent newly wed first time married 12/20/2011)
2) Complete my education as a Graduate RN.
3) Promote healthy living by living healthy (current and future actions as examples)
4)Always share an encouraging word with someone who is in need of one (Just came up with that idea)
5) Adopt children and raise them with a true relationship with Jesus Christ. (Can't wait to finish school to start having children.)
6) Once i finish school i would love to financially support younger generations in their goals for education and success.:chin

Thats about the jist of it...
