seriously. i sense some fear, but she's maintaining a remarkably cool facade. I guess that's what bona fide "grown ups" do, lo.

Anyway...pray, pray, pray; please...I want my mama to live and enjoy her years, post-employment. Thanks. :)
 
Dear Brother Christ_empowered, prayer has been offered, and we await God's answer; it will be just and sure.

For some reason this following situation was just put on my heart concerning Paul going three times to the Lord asking for a thorn in his flesh to be removed. 1 Cor 12:7-9.

The conclusion? God was doing a mighty work in Paul's life, His work exalted His word to the Gentiles using Paul, and fulfilled the gospel (Col 1:25).

Let's believe God for a miracle, believe that He loves your mother more that we ever have, and has the perfect "All things for her good" (Rom 8:28) as He did with Paul.
 
she seems in better spirits. she hasn't talked to me about "the big C," so I really don't know what's going on there, honestly. Ugh. She -is- healthy, especially since she managed to retire, at long last (God is good!).

I think maybe God can and will use this for our betterment, as He often does with trials and tribulations. At the end of the day, my faith is in Him. Still, parts of His work in their lives--they now have more resources and good health coverage, for instance, so she -can- get in with good specialistis semi-locally--are lining up in ways that make me think...its gonna be OK. :)
