If one wants a tattoo because of an expression of their faith, sorry but that's NOT what Christ had in mind. I agree with Jethro Bodine 100% a little leaven will consume the whole batch.. I'm baffled that this thread is still active to be honest. 261 posts and it's still covering the basics of the Christian faith..

eye liner tattooed? I would have see that.it wouldn't be well long lasting as tats fade and it would be painful
jasoncran : I was just responding to your suggesting that tattoos and make up are completely different things, anyway.

Blessings.

Jethro Bodine, yeah that corseting thing wouldn't be well Christ like. I checked that. lust is all that will cause.

farouk that is the point, a tattoo was never and still isn't seen as improving ones looks.

@jasoncran :

I guess the aesthetic side is kind of subjective; in terms of a faith based design, if it points to a spiritual truth then it can - and they have been well proven to - be a conversation-starter.

My thing is not, Go get a tattoo.

But I guess I'm coming from the pragmatic angle, that those who do get faith based designs, find that they do work, when combined with the wearer's wish to use them as a witness means.

(The corset thing didn't come from me, btw.)

Blessings.

a tattoo cant decrease the size of ones waist. it can not increase the breast size, or firm them up,it cannot also un do wrinkles. I cant also tummy tuck. a surgeon and a diet and exercise do these.

Which is what was said it's all about on a National Geographic show I stumbled into this week. I quoted parts of it in a post but decided not to post it at the last moment. I saved the post. Here's part of it:

I just stumbled into a program on corseting on Nat Geo's show 'Taboo'.

I wonder how long it will be before Christians start getting faith based corsets.

After the women on the show submitted to this ridiculous procedure they had seductive photos taken of themselves. In the show a woman said corseting is about 'highlighting a women's sexuality for the approval of others' (maybe not an exact quote but very close).

Let's remember this in a few years when people want to start getting faith based corsets because it really doesn't mean anything.

I think I've suggested already that this theme of corsets is off-topic.

Blessings.

a tattoo and make up are two different things. there are women who are beautiful enough to not wear any make up.
jasoncran:

My wife probably wouldn't entirely agree with you about not needing make up as part of personal skin care, anyway.

I guess I'm coming at the faith based tattoo thing from a pragmatic angle, really.

Blessings.
