I dont acturally think the pope said anything majorly crooked. Its not a lie to say God likes someone who does good works, works don't save but if someone does something good to God that is good, and he said to the child to pray for him.

The only thing I don't think is right is saying talk to him. You don't talk to a dead person.

True but sometimes I still "talk" to my grandparents who I believe are in Heaven now and tell them that I love them. I don't expect them to respond back to me though, but I do believe that they can see and hear me and are always watching over me.

The context was if his dad was in heaven, no mention of faith in Christ alone, no mention of death and burial, only a mention of works. Don't be decieved.

The pope answered the question the best he could without completely traumatising a child. He didnt say he was or was not in heaven he left that to God. He said God is proud of people who do good works(That's true, God is happy when people do good), and to pray for his dad.

Im not a fan of the pope but this is ridiculous picking on him for something like this.

True, and none of us know the answer anyway. Only God knows the minds and the hearts of others.

The Pope at any given time, with regard to whatever Pope is seated in Peter's chair, is the head of a church that contains over 1 billion members. I do not think that his teachings are without concern to their influence.
For the non-Catholic's among us I think what is opportune is our response to the boy and his suffering. And in regard also to how Pope Francis sought to console that young souls deep grief.
I appreciate what Pope Francis did in this instance. A little boy so afraid for his papa that he could not speak before the public that watched. But was consoled in private whispers to his young ears about a concern that will follow him for the rest of his life. A boy moves forward without his father. I believe it is important for his future to know or have good faith his papa is OK with God.

Pope said
"I asked Emanuele permission to reveal his question to the public and he said yes. "my father died a short time ago, he was an athiest, but he baptized his four children, he was a good man, is dad in heaven?"

and the false gospel starts:

pope says: "It's nice that a son says about his father, "that he was good"

"Do you think that God would be able to leave a man like that far from him?"

and the crowd doubts and mumbles at the false gospel spoken...

then the pope says: "louder with courage, no!. Do you think that God would leave His children?"

again when asked if His father was in heaven, the pope responds that an athiest, one who does not even believe in God at all, or heaven, would be in heaven because he was "good"

nothing of Jesus saving grace, nothing of The true gospel at all.

let me remind you that baptism is part of the seven sacraments to get to heaven according to the catholic catechism.

and at one point infant baptism was.

yes many catholics don't believe that the seven sacraments are a replacement for the true Gospel, but some do.

"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.

Jesus does not accuse anyone before God. People know the Law and have been baptised into it so they accuse others when they have a plank in there eye.

"Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died."

Whoever is without wrong cast a stone.

It's good to see the Pope coming around
I would have told the little boy do not be afraid , that his dad was just like him and must have believed Jesus when he was a little boy too .. That his dad could never be taken out of Jesus hands once he belonged to him ever since and forever .. He give you to Jesus and wanted you baptized didn't he ? And that is the faith of a mustard seed ..
Isaiah 42:3
3 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

Jesus is not a snitch. The law is the accuser and people use it against others.

Look that person broke the law they are a sinner, criminal, blasphemy, when they got a plank in there own eye. And someone gets something wrong, the accusations fly sinner! criminal! blasphemy!. Says only the hypocrites.

Not one person can accuse another before God. People love to brown nose and nark in this world against others.
