I sure hope and pray that he is in Heaven though and that he did know the Lord. Like Selah said, if he really was an unbeliever, why would he baptize his children?

If Jesus took away the sin of the world. That means there is no more transgression. Even sin was in the world before the law, the scripture says Jesus took away the sin of the world.
But Jesus also said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except by me"

That precludes any alternative route to heaven.

Depends how it is taken. Jesus said no man comes to the Father except through me, because he is the one who took away the sin of the world.

Broad is the road to destruction, I think we all know that because it effects everyones lives when they go off path even our own. Its about general living.

I would add , through me, is worthy of considering there.
Jesus was the incarnate holy spirit of the father. All things come from God who is the sole , and soul, creator. There is none other. I think there is an important message there in Jesus meaning of his parable in the book of John chapter 14.

people don't understand the gospel. If you were not versed in the Bible, and roman catholicism taught you that baptism saves, then you would do what you were told by the pope. But faith in Christ saves, not baptism or circumcision or any work of the flesh.

The accuser is Moses through the Law even sin was in the world before the Law, but Jesus took away the sin of the world, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Everything was finished before it began. Christ always was. He delivered the Kingdom to God.

That your saying is like the verse in Ephesians 1:4
And Jesus was God.

A school of thought in these discussions will sometimes retort with, that is universalism. A heresy.
I am not one of those. Just pointing this out.

Everything is heresy to anyone who disagrees with them. All im saying is Christ is the Gate and man should not try replace him. Christ is the Gate but many people would rather accuse others through the Law.

I'm baptized in the Catholic church, and so is my brother and sister; our father is an athiest, but my mother is not.

baptism or circumcision does not save. Although baptism is good, it is for believer in Christ, as a confirmation of faith before other believers. That is all it does.

Yes, I realize that. I was addressing people who were wondering how an athiest father could have baptized children. In my case I have a father who is athiest, but a mother who is Roman Catholic.

I believe being baptised in water is being baptised into Jesus death and buried with Christ in the Law, then people have to be raised from that death thats why they still waiting for there saviour.

that is part of the spiritual symbolism involved yes, but for all practical purposes it's just for confirmation of faith. Down with the old nature, and up with the newnature as sin is washed away. symbolically sin is washed away yes, but not literally.
