Macey is now three and a half weeks old. She was born three months early and her twin sister died the day they were born. She has had quite the fight for her life and right now she looks strong. God has healed her heart and given her strength - that is what we believe.

The doctor my neice spoke to yesterday was not extremely positive. She does not believe that Macey is out of the woods yet and we can't see why she feels that way when she is doing so well.

Please pray for her, for her to gain weight and be strong!

Heavenly Father, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, with the power of the Holy Spirit;

Bless and Keep Macey. Let her grow to be strong in health and spirit. Keep thier family safe and provide for thier needs Father. This I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
 
Hey, updates!

Macey is doing wonderful. She is now over four months old. She has a colostomy early on becuase a portion of her intestines died when her heart was not working like it should. Her heart developed great and gives her no issues anymore.

She had to have lazer eye surgery because her retina began to seperate. That went well and the eye tests have come out really good.

The colostomy was reversed two weeks ago and she is taking formula and digesting it well. They have put her on the bottle and when she can take an entire feeding by nipple in 20 minutes time, she can finally come home!

She still needs prayer for her thumbs which have a developmental problem. Surgeons have said positive things about being able to give her some thumb function through surgery when she is older. She also has a slight cleft palate.

Thanks Kelly, for the update on Macey. What great news it is that Macey has over come all those obstacle and can finally come home. Praise God. :angel:
She is a beautiful little girl. :wink:
