Yay, we're too school for cool! I mean, er, we're too cool for school :)
Correction:

Since you haven't finished your degree yet, you are too school for cool. Since I have finished school, at this point, I am too cool for school.

:biggrin

Why such a long wait? What are you doing in the mean time?
Working and travelling.

Think about this:
I have just finished 13 years of school. My degree at uni will be at least another four years. Then I will be back at school as a teacher. I kinda want to get out of the system for a year.

That makes alot of sense!

What kind of travels are you planning? What are you gonna bring me back? :wink3
Ha! See, I DO make sense! :lol

I'll be going to Euorpe and the UK for about six weeks next year.
I do plan on going to the US in the next few years, hopefully. And you'll be glad to know East side. West is a hole IMO. :lol

I've lived in the west. It is a hole. East side is the best side! Stay away from the West! You have been warned :wink3

Do you have family in those places?

What part of the US are you going to visit? If you come to DC, don't make it obvious that you are a tourist and don't wear a fanny pack. All those Washingtonians hanging out on the Lawn will laugh at you like this: :lol (I might be one of them :rolling)

ironic. i like the northwest and hate Florida at times.

well nick, visit texas for the reminder of home or my state as well since we have a lot of the same types of critters.

I love Miami!

Haha! Strange how the east in Australia is so much dominate than the west. I'm not sure where I want to go, just not LA :lol. But a trip to DC and NY will be definately on the table. And I might just go down to Miami. Might see Jason getting a tan on Miami Beach :hysterical

Don't worry, I'm not a 'tourist' tourist. :biggrin I try to fit in. In fact I'll probably be on the Lawn with you, laughing at tourists :lol

No, I don't have any connections apart from you guys to the US. My family is mostly in Australia, but moved out from England two generations ago. Half of dads' family are still in England, hence half the reason for the Europe trip.

Do you know how much I can't stand southern accents? Sorry, just something that annoys me. Besides, I'll probably get shot! ;) Perhaps you can defend me with that awesome mg42 of yours :biggrin

Oh hang on, that's right. I wanted to visit Dallas to see JFK's assassination spot. I'm the biggest JFK conspiracist :)

I am currently writing a 25+ paper on the Political Economy of Post-Soviet Space. "Space" is apparently a fancy word for "territory" in Russian academic circles. I have 18 pages done and it is due Wednesday, late afternoon. I am frazzled because it is not the kind of paper I can fake my way through. That is, it is not like a political theory paper, where if I understand the philosophy, I can keep expanding upon the basic concept. I have to come up with concrete, factual events and critique those.

It's always harder when you need to critique something that has already been written or has already occured. Such work requires study and informed opinions, which sometimes don't go hand in hand. Hope that work out Gendou.

It sounds like such a fun trip Nick. I am looking forward to the day the Lord allows me to travel!

Make sure you eat pizza in Adam's Morgan (DC) at "Jumbo Slice". It will be bigger than your head!
