There is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved."

Proving pre-trib rapture is false, along with a question.

In the OT up until the upper room experience the Holy Spirit had not yet been revealed to Israel, but was only upon certain ones like David and many others for a time and purpose from God, but not yet indwelled in them. Just as Peter Gods Holy Spirit revealed to Peter who Jesus was as only being upon him at the moment, but not yet indwelled in Peter. Big difference between upon and indwelled.
Genesis 1:1,2; Exodus 31:3; Numbers 11:25; 24:2; Judges 3:10; 14:6,19; 1Samuel 16:13
I wasn't addressing the indwelling of the Spirit. I was addressing that you said that Peter and others did not even Know there was a Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit did not reveal this to Peter, it was God as Peter nor the others even knew there was a Holy Spirit as of yet.
All the Jews who were practicing Jews would have known there was a Holy Spirit. God's ruach. A practicing Jew today can tell you there is a Holy Spirit and show you the evidence in the scriptures.

Those of God did not understand the Trinity of God, but only knew Him as a singlar Almighty, God. Jesus has always been even before the foundation of the world, but yet they knew the promise of coming Messiah, but didn't know who he was even when he was present before them so how could they even know there was a Holy Spirit except that God was a Spirit in whom like David called out and said please do not take your Holy Spirit from me as in reference as God being a Spirit and is Holy. The Holy Spirit would not be revealed as part of the Trinity until the day of Pentecost.

Exo 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exo 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Exo 6:2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
Exo 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

We weren't discussing their knowledge of the Trinity either, were we?

David clearly knew that God HAD a Holy Spirit. He didn't say, God please don't leave me, or God don't take yourself from me. He said..."don't take YOUR Holy Spirit from me."
Your, shows something that is in possession of someone. Like Your house or your Bible.
So David was very aware that he had received the very Spirit of God and he didn't want to lose it. He knew that it was what enabled him to do the things that he did and the wisdom and knowledge that he had.
This is God speaking....
Mat 12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Mat 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Jesus was very upset with the Jews of His time. He said they had the writings of Moses and the prophets (such as King David and Isaiah) but they didn't even believe Moses because if they had they would have known the Messiah when He came.
I find as a Christian I have done the same thing. I have read something and then changed a plain writing to fit with what I already believed or to fit a certain doctrine.

Deborah, Trinity has everything to do with what you asked, but we are getting off topic so if you would like to start a new thread on this I will be happy to explain what I am trying to bring across to you in more depth. God bless you sis. :)
