easier said that done, of course. I've been praying on it. On the one hand, I was basically experimented on by shrinks and all that stuff, but...

5 years into my Walk with The Lord, I really am a New Creation in Christ Jesus! In my case, The Lord has willed reconcilation with my parents, good health, intelligence, and...a much-needed moral compass ("heart of flesh, not of stone"), in addition to forgiveness.

I've come to the conclusion that talk therapy is fairly useless. I pray frequently, that's good for me in many ways. Not "therapeutic," not like that, I mean...prayer really does change things, and praying changes -me-, too. Or...OK, its God in action, but prayer is a big part of it, somehow...anyway...

point is, al this Mental Health, Inc. stuff was and is worse than useless. Now and then, I'll stumble upon a compassionate, honest counselor. Thing is...everybody brings their "stuff" to the table, even the best counselor -ever-. It is what it is. I've gotten more "help" from The Lord (1st and foremost) and Verna (a real, genuine friend+mentor), people on CFnet, etc. than I ever did from the many self-important, often mediocre and mean-spirited people I encountered in Mental Health, Inc. And my parents..

they needed a miracle in my life, too. I see it, now...I probably had AIDS, I had obvious brain damage, and I started out as a prideful, wimpy flamer. Ugh. No longer, of course...thanks to Christ. Sooooo....

My point is that The Lord has already willed miracles for my family and for me, and I -am- thankful, and...I need to take up my plow and push forward. Not because its "therapeutic," but because Jesus says to do so. I just...

am having some difficulties, that's all. Thanks. :)

you need a christian counselor i really dont see you needing a shrink..you really need to explore a ministry maybe do some vol time at some type center. that would allow you to minister using the bible you would be surprised at the results

now -that's- awesome advice. I think you're spot on, too. The volunteering I can definitely do. The Christian counselor...well, 1st I'll have to figure out how to escape the clinic, lol. I'll pray on it. Thanks. :)
