I was just thinking about this movie the other day...Return to Oz. Its Disney, mid to late 80s....creepy. I mean, I'm a grown up, and just remembering bits and pieces of it...doesn't sit well with me.

can you think of some "children's movies" that were not so great? I think its a tricky genre to do well, and even if its done well enough....children's moves seem to get dated and passe faster than other sorts of movies. ---sigh-

I don't think it is so much the scary scenes that are the most dangerous. But rather that there is hardly a "Children's Movie" that even addresses any dependence upon God. It all seems to be about how you will get whatever "power" you need from either within yourself or from some external "magic."

I think Hollywood itself is beyond problematic, it's a downright evil influence.

Christian alternatives exist for a reason!

Sorry I can't give specific examples, I've done what I can to boycott Hollywood most of my life (it doesn't help that my Sister is a voice teacher there) and haven't owned a TV in decades.

I remember when I first saw the original Wizard of Oz I had nightmares. Those flying monkeys ..

Oh my gosh! I always have and always will love that movie but the monkeys are scarier than the witch right offhand. I can't think of any children's movies I find questionable right now except for maybe the new Jumanji movie due to the unexpected rude humor in it but I'm not sure whether or not it is supposed to be for kids though. I guess maybe A Christmas Story. I love that movie too but a lot of adult humor in it. And besides, that so called Santa Claus is enough to give any child nightmares in my opinion. "HO, HO, HO,..." I'm not sure what was in Santa's mug, but it certainly wasn't milk or coco.

"Cool World" was kinda shady in that it introduced sex to children but at the same time it gave a message of negativity to that message....i don't know it's been years since I seen it so it's kinda grey.

I wasn't a minor when I saw that.

I do not trust anything Hollywood produces ..'kid movies' slow introductions to increase the over all acceptance of various sins

I have noticed but while I do think the older entertainment was wholesome,it wasn't all that either.

Sure

sure enough man!

They acclimatize the masses to acceptance..... Before we know it it's our meat and potatoes of life.

Hate to break it to ya but I highly doubt Moses will look exactly like the actor that played him. Chances are he might look something like that though.

Thank
