I'm guessing there isn't really an upgrade when donating but that it's just set up that way per the software parameters. For example, it shows 50 dollars for one day. Same with the other amounts. Then, after giving, you get a notice that your "upgrade" has expired. That message is in the in box the very next day. It's kinda odd to do it that way. There doesn't seem to be a way to do reoccurring giving. Or is there?

oops i did reply but did not click 'post reply' :neutral

The upgrade info you see came with the system we can not get rid of them...Donations do not change anything about your account... Nor does not donating change anything about ones account.

Thanks Reba. I thought that was the case. I actually like it that way. I think it's possible to set up a reoccuring but one has to do that in the paypal account. I know you guys don't push donations. I'm just curious for myself.

Papa Zoom as I said previously, we aren't privy to the financial aspect of CFnet, so that's probably why you didn't get a response to your question a few posts up. It's not that we aren't interested in responding. It's that we don't have the information you're seeking.

Greg is very "hands off" with the site. He does his thing, and we do ours. We rarely hear from him. When we do, it's because we've initiated it.

OK, thanks. It's all good. I kinda like Greg's style.

Yeah, it's the way the forum software deals with donations. It's more of an upgrade system that we're using as a donation system.

That's just the way Greg set up this software and the way he wishes to receive donations. There are customisations that can be done to give the donation system more clarity, but that's something only Greg can authorise.

Having said that, I'm open to adding a notice to the donations page to clarify the situation.

I think that would help people understand how it works. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
