I notice a lot of old questions get resurrected and sooner or later a Moderator needs to post a reminder that the thread is X years old and the OP is no longer even active.

Just a suggestion, but it might make sense for the Moderators to just lock the (Q&A) topics a year after the OP was first posted since any question not answered in a year is unlikely to be and any response after a year is likely too late.

I don't know enough about BBS coding to know if this could be automated for just that section of the board, but that might make your lives easier.

Anyway, just a thought.

I always type a question in the search function before posing questions; this way it prevents asking a question which has already been posed by another member. Numerous other forums always advise this, therefore this practise has followed through to my participation here.

The staff is generally in agreement with the idea of closing off Q4C threads where the OP hasn't posted in X amount of time, but we're not sure xenforo has the capability of doing this automatically, and it is actually a little more labor intensive to do this manually all the time than you might think.

One way or another, our goal is to make this happen.
