Absolutely completely false !

If you actually read what He said you would find that it was to “them”, that He spoke in parables.

Why do You speak to them in parables?”

Actually, it was given to them in parables so that they might understand the mysteries of the kingdom.

Matthew 13:11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Matthew 13:13-15
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Isaiah 6:9-10
And he said, Go, and tell this people,
Hear ye indeed, but understand not;
and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Make the heart of this people fat,
and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;

lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Isaiah 29:9-14
Stay yourselves, and wonder;
cry ye out, and cry:
they are drunken, but not with wine;
they stagger, but not with strong drink.
For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep,
and hath closed your eyes:

the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed,
which men deliver to one that is learned,
saying, Read this, I pray thee:
and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
And the book is delivered to him that is not learned,
saying, Read this, I pray thee:
and he saith, I am not learned.
Wherefore the Lord said,
Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth,
and with their lips do honour me,
but have removed their heart far from me,
and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people,
even a marvellous work and a wonder:
for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

You want to know what to watch for?

Isaiah 29:19-24
The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord,
and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed,
and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

That make a man an offender for a word,
and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate,
and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob,
Jacob shall not now be ashamed,
neither shall his face now wax pale.
But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him,
they shall sanctify my name,
and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob,
and shall fear the God of Israel.
They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding,
and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

the Spirit of Christ has come into our flesh,
the spirit comes into our heart but its not physical Romans 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
John 14:17
the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.

Psalm 78:1-3
Give ear, O my people, to my law:
incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
I will open my mouth in a parable:
I will utter dark sayings of old:
Which we have heard and known,
and our fathers have told us.

Psalm 49:1-4
Hear this, all ye people;
give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
Both low and high,
rich and poor, together.
My mouth shall speak of wisdom;
and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
I will incline mine ear to a parable:
I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

JLB, Below is a web page explaining what I believe about the Rapture.
Rapture - coming of Christ - what are the signs to look for

www.discoverrevelation.com/42.html
The Rapture Will Occur When Least Expected: The Second Coming takes place only after all the signs have been given and everyone should know that Christ is about to return in glory and power. The Rapture comes in the midst of peace (1 Thess. 5:3), the Second Coming in the midst of war (Rev. 19:11-21).

Brother, please don't post links that explain what you believe about the rapture.

If you can't explain and discuss what you yourself believe about this subject from the scriptures then so be it.

But I certainly don't want to hear what someone else believes.

The scriptures plainly and clear teach us that the rapture and resurrection take place at His coming.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:15

  • we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

Very simple and plain and easy to understand.

Same thing in the next verses, Resurrection and Rapture at the coming of the Lord -

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

  • the dead in Christ will rise first.
  • Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them

The plain and simple, straightforward, undeniable, irrefutable truth -

The resurrection and rapture happen at the coming of the Lord.

Why do we need to go to some website to see what someone else has to say.

I know what the scripture says.

The question is, do you believe the resurrection and rapture take place at the coming of the Lord?

  1. Yes
  2. No

JLB

Brother, please don't post links that explain what you believe about the rapture.
That post was exactly what I believe and says what I have been explaining to you. And to your question the answer is "NO". I have taken the time to study your doctrine. The problem with your doctrine is it combines the Church and Israel together. Scripture separates the two with different promises (1 Cor. 10:32-33). The Church will be nowhere around during the tribulation, all that will be left will be the religious.

If you actually read what He said you would find that it was to “them”, that He spoke in parables.

Why do You speak to them in parables?”

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Well I have read what he said, and he has told me what he said. Ya see, he told me he spoke to all the multitudes in parables, including his disciples. He has reminded me that they used to come to him privately afterwards so that he could explain to them the meaning of it. He said they still could not understand it, even after he had risen; but he promised them that when he came again, that the comforter would teach them the truth of all he said to them. He said the same is true today, if they would only humble themselves and receive me. His friends have even confirmed this for me. They reminded too that he said he stands at the door and knocks. Who knows, maybe their just afraid to answer the door until the can see who it is that is coming, and so they keep watch through the window.

But such are the mysteries of the kingdom, for some dress themselves in armor and set themselves for war; but a bride is adorned with a new garment and is escorted safely to her wedding.

Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven

You can not be a YOU until you have been a THEM, and come to the Lord as a THEY who can not see and a THEY who can not hear. It is only then that you have come to the knowledge of repentance and made your heart ready to receive. But some for pride and the hardness of their hearts will continue to sit in a seat that is not theirs to sit until the day the heavens are shook.

Yes, it is plain and simple, straightforward when you take away the doctrines and traditions of men.

Yes at His coming in the Glory of His Father, the Dead in Christ will arise first, to stand before the judgement and the Second Death.

But We who are alive, who are part of the First Resurrection and written in the Lamb's book of life, we shall not be overcome of the second death when he comes in the Glory of His Father in a cloud of fire and lighting and thunder.

Matthew 24:27
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

By the way, oh watchman upon the wall. How shall you warn us when the lightening should strike, to what do you watch? Do the storm clouds need to be an utter darkness, with the wind a tempest with falling rain and hail before you stand and cry the lighting cometh? Or do you rather sit upon your watchtower and look to the clouds gathering upon a distant hill, then wave your finger to the wind before you will cry a storm cometh, prepare ye for some lightening. But on such a pleasant day, when the skies are clear and the sun is bright and warm with a slight cool breeze, what then is there to watch for? Perhaps a round of golf on such a day as this?

For as the Lighting cometh out of the east and shineth unto the west, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. For the lighting cometh without warning before the voice of the thunder can be heard.

Psalm 21:1-13
The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord;
and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
Thou hast given him his heart's desire,
and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness:
thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him,
even length of days for ever and ever.
His glory is great in thy salvation:
honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
For thou hast made him most blessed for ever:
thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
For the king trusteth in the Lord,
and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies:
thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger:
the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth,
and their seed from among the children of men.
For they intended evil against thee:
they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back,
when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength:

so will we sing and praise thy power.

The scriptures plainly and clear teach us that the rapture and resurrection take place at His coming.
This is the rapture and resurrection of the Church....The dead and the living saints of the body of Christ. This is only part of the first resurrection, the tribulation saints will be resurrected when the Lord stands upon the Mt. of Olivet. (Acts 1:11; Zechariah 14:4-9) To intervene in the battle of Armageddon. The Church meet Him in the air (1 Thes. 4:13-18).

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs. But signs of what? Wars and rumors of wars? Earthquakes in divers places? The gathering of armies? Signs of the coming of His mighty wrath? Or the signs of HIS MERCY that endures forever? The children of darkness see the works of sin in the world and then try to warn of the wrath of God, while they themselves hide beneath a covering and watch for the signs of the coming and wrath of God. But the children of light see the works of sin in the world and show forth the grace and compassion of the Lord, for they no longer hide themselves beneath the covering, but allow for the glory of the Lord to be revealed in them. But the children of darkness still seeks after a sign.

A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign shall be given but that of Jonah the prophet. Many are simply taught that the sign of Jonah was about the resurrection of Jesus, but they are missing out on a great deal more of the sign of Jonah. For the sign of Jonah to the children of light is the resurrection of the body of Christ, that being the raising up of His Church, the bride. But the children of darkness want nothing to do with the light, so they hope the light is taken up to heaven where they will then await and watch for the signs of his coming in the mighty wrath and judgement of the Lord.

But so that the children of light are not caught completely unaware, there is another sign of Jonah that is hidden from the children of darkness, for they love the judgements of the Lord and their pride will not let them see, but the wrath the God they warn others of and watch for themselves shall fall upon their own heads, for they hath not considered the testimony of Jonah, nor the voice crying in the wilderness, nor the words of the bridegroom; but instead they turn their backs away from the light for a word of judgement instead.

Most know the story of Jonah, how he was swallowed up by a whale...... But Jonah was sent to deliver a message to Nineveh from the Lord that their days were numbered. But when the Lord repented of the evil that He was going to bring upon Nineveh, it displeased Jonah much like the elder brother in the parable of the prodigal son. Jonah grew angry and did not believe the word of the Lord, so Jonah built himself a booth to sit under while he waited and watched to see what their end would be. But the Lord took pity on Jonah and caused a vine to grow up over him and cover him, giving him shade. And Jonah was thankful for that gift as he kept watch until the numbered days be complete. But poor Jonah, as he kept watch upon the city, the Lord took from him the covering and then smote him such that he cried out and wanted to die.

The children of darkness speak of the wrath of God because the wrath of God rest's upon their heads, but they do not believe the word of the Lord, that He has repented of the evil he thought to do. They do not accept the word of the Lord and His promise of salvation and withholding his wrath under his covenant of peace that was confirmed in the blood of Christ. Instead the children of darkness take up the covering given to them to hide from the light whilst they keep watch for the signs of the coming destruction.

The children of darkness presume to know and understand the signs, telling you that everything thing they need to know and look for is given to them in the scriptures. They will speak of trumpets and warn of vials; they speak of what they have heard and read. But whilst they sit under their booth and under their covering keeping watch for the signs of destruction, the voice of the sound of the seven thunder's was kept from them; or in spite of all their professions, maybe they lack the faith or they just simply do not believe.
