Roman's were largely involved in the Canonization process, yes.
This may be something you'll find helpful in your studies. https://christianheritagefellowship.com/canonization-of-the-bible/

From Wikipedia (so it MUST be right! Right?)

In his Easter letter of 367, Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria, (Egypt) gave a list of the books that would become the twenty-seven-book NT canon, and he used the word "canonized" (Greek: κανονιζόμενα kanonizomena) in regards to them. The first council that accepted the present canon of the New Testament may have been the Synod of Hippo Regius in North Africa (393). A brief summary of the acts was read at and accepted by the Councils of Carthage in 397 and 419. (North Africa) These councils were under the authority of St. Augustine, (Bishop if Hippo, North Africa) who regarded the canon as already closed.

Maybe its just my experience because Christianity put a burden on me and the Law. I was trying to be blameless in the flesh living under Gods grace.
It is totally appropriate for you to try to live blameless with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Mat 5:48 “…you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

1Pet 1:13-16 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:44, 45; 19:2; 20:7)

Heb 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

Perfect holiness is every Christian's goal. None of us will achieve it this side of glory but, it is what we were created to be.

I have no burden anymore because i believe its all finished and God did not fail. How many times over and over has the spiritually enlightened and even as Jesus said in two commandments Love your Creator and love one another. That's all there is to it, do good to God and others, and by doing good to others your doing good to God. Nothing less, nothing more. The Father and Son done all the work themselves to redeamed mankind. There is a meaning there is a purpose, and God said I'll sort it out. Its done and finished. Christ come to a generation for a generation to fullfill and redeamed mankind back to God.

Look at religion and doctrine, it's all over the place, it's a complete mess. People even believe there is prophets in our nations today. Total bs, it's all finished, and Jesus himself clearly said he must push on because a prophet cannot die outside Jerusalem ever. So if anyone claims to be a prophet and has has not died in Jerusalem they are not a prophet.

Its done, it's finished, no one needs to live in the stone age anymore waiting for some messiah. Its a deception. Doctrine is a stumbling block. Religion is a stumbling block. The letter destroys. False prophets destroy. Rejecting the truth destroys.

You've quoted the wrong person. My information was not of Wikipedia origin.

What is “all finished”? How do you know it’s all finished?

Christ come to a generation for a generation to fullfill and redeamed mankind back to God.
What do you mean by this?

Total bs,
Please don’t use that term. It’s unChristlike and a violation of the TOS.

Jesus himself clearly said he must push on because a prophet cannot die outside Jerusalem ever. So if anyone claims to be a prophet and has has not died in Jerusalem they are not a prophet.
Where did Jesus say this? Where did Jesus say that is a means by which to tell false prophets from true? Do you believe Jesus was a prophet?

Its done, it's finished, no one needs to live in the stone age anymore waiting for some messiah. Its a deception.
What do you mean by “no one needs to live...waiting for some Messiah”? And how is that deception?

Doctrine is a stumbling block.
How is “doctrine a stumbling block”? Do you have any biblical support for that assertion?

Paul said the letter killeth, so thats my support that doctrine is a stumbling block. And no one even recognized Christ even he was prophecy in the Law and Prophets they all knew so well.

And in Luke Jesus says
"But I must be on my way today, tomorrow, and the next day, because it's not possible for a prophet to be killed outside of Jerusalem.'"

I believe Jesus is a prophet, and more, yet he clearly says prophets die in Jerusalem, that reference would make no sence if hes only talking about himself. He is saying he must go to Jerusalem because hes a prophet. And all the other prophets died there as well so its backed up.

Sorry for saying BS. I didnt think it was a that bad a word because its prounonced bee es. Its politically correct.

Saying "It's total bunk" works just as well. I hope I haven't said that but I probably have. Gonna check ;)
