it will be hard to say good bye when you have to use his trust to allow the injection to end his life...
Good to have that love cherished within us. It is loving the love that loves us which is pure.
Loving Christ and God's Love which loves us IS loving with all our heart, mind and soul. That unconditional love, which engulfs us, is being in the kingdom of God, in my honest opinion.

Luke passed away from old age many years ago. Grief and loss is experienced wherever our heart lays. Every time I see Luke's photo my heart reaches out to his love that loves me. Same with God on a daily basis.

funny how a four legged creature(cat, pigs and dogs and even cows, equines) can teach us more about love then we can imagine. its a lesson learned when I had to be the bad guy and let Cheyenne pass to avoid the severity of the pain that I saw coming. she loved to run and walk and each day it got harder for her to walk.

my avatar is now Cheyenne in one of her favorite spots. she loved to watch me work on cars from that spot and also the world. one of three places in my yard. she would get up and walk over to me while I was under the car and investigate my work. I miss that cold nose and sniffing from her.

my wife use to sing to Cheyenne. it was a morning ritual. I miss that . she could get Cheyenne to howl and also talk.

I often worked in my friend's garden, landscaping and such. They had a cat called Donut. Whenever I used the shovel or mattock she would nonchalantly walk into the exact place I wanted to plant that tool into. She had no fear of me. She absolutely trusted my love would not harm her. I often got reminded about Luke 4:12 Jesus answered, "It is said: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" As if I was God :hysterical

She would not allow anybody to get near her, or handle her. Luke could not accept that. Every time Luke met Donut he would ever so carefully approach with such caution, patience, and tenderness, only to get a swipe across the face. Luke would look at me as if to say "What's up with Donut"? But he would inevitably turn the other cheek, and try again. This went on for years.

Cheyenne had her friends, she tolerated only one cat. she had a few dogs she mothered. she had an older sister who is in doggie heaven with her( well two) sasha a gsp and robin a mutt. I miss sasha. I was the only Man to be in the home all others would get bit unless I was there. I had to put sash in the cage to stop that. sasha loved the cage and slept in it. bella is like that as well as far as the cage

When I was a child, Tim, my first dog was not obedience trained. We were both rebels like Huck Finn and dog. All my other dogs were trained. My ex-wife was a very good dog and horse trainer. I learnt a lot about training dogs from her, but there is a difference between us, a degree of love. Once that connection is made, all dogs instantly sense it, and become instant friends. Other peoples dogs always greet me. Many owners have said that they never seen their dog greet a stranger as such.

Once, a friend and I went to a Fair where all sorts of animals were on for show and parade. One large hanger contained newborns. The far corner was fenced across to contain German Shepherd mother with a litter of about eight pups. The fence was packed with people. The dogs were at one end where most of the people were gathered. At the other end was just enough room for one more person. I told my friend to take the space. She said, "I can't see them, they are at the other end". I sensed that it would be okay and told her to stay where she is and they will come. I pocked my head passed her waist and looked at the pups. Suddenly all the pups turned their head towards us and ran to greet us. She could not believe her eyes. To tell you the truth, it actually surprised me too, though I knew it would happen.

Love has no boundaries. It can connect with all lifeforms, and non-animated forms as well. It has to be unconditional. That is, not for self. Many years ago I had trouble with ants, then I went to the library to learn everything about them. In doing so I fell in love with God's creature the ant. Then I had a heart to heart talk with the ants (don't laugh) and told them that I did not want to hurt one single ant. I said I will tap twice on the tabletop to let you know I wish to use the area they're in, so they can leave without getting accidentally hurt or killed. I tapped twice and instantly the ants went along their tracks and left the kitchen within a minute or two. They have been doing this for years now. We are good friends.

This is where most people start thinking I am kookoo. But those that witness these things know that there is a love connection which transcends all language.

Somehow my wife would do things like that.I have more stories of the dinkle dog.Cheyenne had a trot and attitude of I'm me and everybody loves me.she struts when she walked before the arthritis took that from her.she knew she had it made.

You are right. And as I was thinking about this, how much God loves us, and that many animals were put here merely to comfort us...that I will bet you a dollar that when we get to heaven...that our beloved pets that have passed on will be there waiting for us.

Because that's how God rolls. Awesome and super cool.

I would be so very grateful to Him for that.

Partial sketch for a painting idea.
Needs a title: ________________________ any thoughts?

The story is, the world is like a dense forest, all dark, full fears and self-denial. Everybody is living in the dark. Then one day someone comes across an open field, all exposed, for all to see. The word gets out and all come to have a look-see. They fear the exposure of the light, yet are drawn in by what the light reveals. Color, brightness, fresh-air, fragrance and life of the flowers and grass in the field.

Their fear of exposure keeps them hidden behind their tree of self-denial. Some risk getting closer than others. One eventually steps into the light of full exposure and vulnerability. With their truth revealed for all to see, they feel totally liberated. That one is now dancing under the spotlight of Truth. Even though that one gets glorified by the light, and even the flowers join in with the glorification, the others still fear letting go of their tree, to join in.

Here is an added sketch done on the computer. It's about a person taking a step closer to the light. They are neither in the dark or light, but is the twilight (so to speak). The person could look a bit more apprehensive than I sketched it. I am hoping, if God gives me time, to do a painting about the above scene.
It still needs a title.
Got any ideas to share with me about this?.

I dunno what this is worth, but...I think he looks apprehensive enough. I think you did capture that. It's like, he wants to take a step further, but he's unsure of which step to take. I wonder if it would be possible to insert the very beginning of the light within him beginning to be visible as if ready to burst forth...without spoiling what you have captured so far?

I like it! :thumbsup

Thanks Edward.
You mean like having some of the light actually shining on the foremost parts of his face and clothing. As if testing it out.
If so, that is a great idea.

You might have him with one hand on a tree, as though torn between moving into the light and holding on to his "protection."
