Someone is always asking me how I come to understand things concerning Paul’s revelation of Christ. I have to tell you that Paul’s revelation of Christ it is the key.
It is not the key to being saved. The key to being saved is being born again. It is not the key to being filled with the Holy Spirit. Every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation.
The key to coming into the message of the Christ- life is the Holy Spirit revealing it. Sooner or later, powerful truths begin to open up to growing believers at some juncture of their individual walk with God, truths that they never knew before, truths that have to do with Christ living in humans, truths that open up a whole new world where another person lives in the believer and has been there since that believer was saved.
I remember reading Norman Grubb’s illustration of when he was first struck by the in-Christ truth. It was during one of his early trials in Africa as he was seeking and waiting before God
 to know Him.
He was having difficulty in corresponding with the black
People, and one day the Holy Spirit, to make a long story short, just spoke to him and said, Norman that is Jesus out there running around in black bodies.
This was the beginning of revelation know-lege for him.
The revelation of Jesus Christ as the life of the believer comes to everybody differently.
It cannot be pinned down to some experience you seek. It is a great experience when it first comes, you may have a feeling that is greater than any feeling or experience you have ever had.
Or you may be like many people who, after a long period of time, look back and say, yes, I can see now where it happened. I didn’t know at the time just what was taking place, but now I see this unbelievable thing God has done in me.
Therefore, the real heart of God’s message to believers centers in Paul’s revelation. Paul vividly speaks of it in, Gal. 1:15-16.

Christ in me! It seems that every time I meditate on that Truth, I'm drawn to John Chapter 15....

John 15:4 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

Those two verses have been part of a foundation that Jesus had laid in my heart, that so much Truth is able to be built on such a great foundation. I'm so very thankful for God's Word.

Understanding the truth of being in Christ you see the birthing (born again) in all scripture, like the ones you have quoted.
The scriptures speak of me 'Jesus said, so you can see without looking for Him (who is life) in the scriptures, there is no life.
Not on the part of the believer, what are Father sees is a completed person, by Christ in that person.
As we have seen through the generations of time, in our age, that is not the case with modern religion and its hearers.
There has always been those that have come the revelation, it is not hidden.
Paul said it has been revealed, delivered to him to deliver to the saints.

This truth overwhelmed me when I was saved because I was so hungry to know God that I went to the Bible Store and purchased a Zippered, Silver copy of the KJV. But no matter how much I read, it was all Greek to me except for John 3.

The night the Holy Spirit overcame me, when I arrived at my apartment, I stowed my gear, sat down, let my Bible and it fell open to Isaiah 53 and as I read it I understood it as the Gospel of Isaiah, the foretelling of the ministry of Jesus. From that night until now I have been crazy to know more and God has blessed me more.

I cry now for more people to know what I know.

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

It took me from 1973 when I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior up to 1998 to truly know what it meant to have that personal relationship with Him and to hear Him speak to me. Falling from His grace so many times during those years, being used and abused, listening to what man taught not even truly knowing the Holy Spirit that dwelled in me led me to a mind set that I was contemplating suicide at one time. I even went as far as telling God if things did not change in my life that I was gong to kill myself. It was when I was completely broken down on the inside that I fell before the Lord in prayer and that was when Gods Holy Spirit was revealed to me and the verses above held so much revelation to me. I learned from that moment on to trust only in God and seek His word as I am now a digger for truth and truth only comes by the Holy Spirit, John 14:26, as I study His written word.

Hey Glory Girl, you were saved 1 year before me. Mine was November 4th 1974. Thank you for that testimony. I hope that someone who is suffering now, like you were back then, will read your post and not give up.

As always, I Love You,
Chopper

We can have many experiences with God.
I personally believe our first love experience with Christ, when we first believed is the most powerful experience.
It is hard to duplicate that moment, that awaking, when you see Jesus for the first time.
You, who didn't even know a God existed.
I still weep at times thinking about, and joy unspeakable. I am not the same person, I still sound the same, walk the same. You alone only know what Jesus has done. People may see some change but only you really know what God has done.

The bottom line for me is, I'm so very glad and relieved that the Father doesn't see me, He sees Jesus IN ME.

True my friend, I don't think we will see how deep the cross runs until eternity sets in.
Our Father has given His only Son to the world.
There is a love that we can only speculate on that was going on before anything was created.
I believe a conversation took place between a Father and a Son. The Son seeing the love His Father had for Him, wanted to give the Father more sons, like unto him.
The Father gave His only begotten Son, in return the Son gave back to the Father sons.
The Son now has given us His Father to be our Father.

Soul man, this is one of the most amazing statements that I've ever heard....

Wow, talk about a "Chopper Home Run" this one is bases loaded!!

Thank you for your idea that the Son gave back to His Father, sons like you and me, and Reba of course.

There is something about the cross that we Saints have not learned yet. As I read that statement of yours, some kind of Spiritual dynamic flooded my mind/heart. I don't understand it, but I'm going to rise to the challenge. I know that there is something extremely horrible yet extremely wonderful because God the Father was the Architect of the results of the cross.

Your remarks about the cross is a witness to me to embark on a study....Is there anything that comes to your mind on the "how deep the cross runs?" When I get thru, I'll start a thread on HOW DEEP DOES THE CROSS RUN. I will credit you with the original thought my friend. Perhaps we could work together on this, I believe the Holy Spirit just said yes.
Perhaps we both can study this topic and come up with REVELATION that will rock our little world.

You have a deal, I'm busy at the moment to respond. I'll get back to you, I'm very interested in the work of the cross

Yea!! :sohappy :thumb I'll start my research right away. I'm excited to work with you on this project. There's no hurry now because of the importance of the subject. If I have research questions, I'll go to "conversations".

After He did that to me in Vietnam, I wasn't sore at God because as a kid my aunt had dragged me to the Pentecostal, Holy Rollers, Church. That is where I learned how to fake the gift of Tongues. I listened to a couple of the Elders explaining how to learn to speak by saying tie my bow tie so fast no one could tell it was not one word. That is where and when I soured and decided there was no God, gods, yes, but no God.

But in spite of all the fake rolling around on the floor and all of the faking of Tongues, God coupled the Sunday School Training and the dramatic death of my best friend and moved the mountain and, yes, it moves me to tears to meditate on what Jesus/God did for me on that morning in the Jungle. Worse are the tears if I sit and consider how I had condemned me to the Lake of Fire and how God overcame me as I was entertaining the drunks on stage. God does not do things in a small nor common way and anyone that does not love Him and hold Him in reverence break my heart. And that from a don't give a damn Killer Spade.

God is the only AWSOME thing to ever stroll into this Creation! AMEN!
