My high school years were hell.

I hated that place.
I hated the worthless and asinine "guidance counselors".
I hated SO many of my fellow students - what a bunch of creeps they were.
I never belonged there.

Left in the 11th grade with a D+ average. Went to 'night school' or "adult ed" for my 12th year and earned a "B" average. By 19 I'd passed my FCC license exam, so I beat out other college grads because the law said you had to have a federal license to do the work.

Finally finished my degree at age 49, graduated with "high academic honors", I was in the top 25 of several hundred students. My lowest grade was a 3.1 in College Algebra (odd, since my next math class, College Algebra II / Precalc, I earned a 4.0)

I succeeded in life, but high school had nothing what so ever to do with my success.

Yeah a lot of what I learn in school is so pointless about 80% of it is an that's not even an exaggeration.
 
Good luck at school Brock. There's a lot of benifit from it so enjoy it while it lasts. Not just what you learn but also meeting friends and joining groups of shared intrest or school sports teams. After you graduate it's a different world and harder find these things as locally and as easily.

The learning is good too. After highschool it becomes unreasonably expensive to learn in school settings. So enjoy it while it lasts.
 
What kind of classes are you taking?
Can you take college courses through your high school?
What grade are you in?
I am in high school, too and either am being home schooled this year or going to public BUT am definitely taking college courses, they are free for high school students and I can study other subjects not provided in high school.
In my opinion, it's the only way out of my parent's house and becoming dependent.

Roger that on not affecting success. I almost graduated the eighth grade, I failed English... I could speak English, just fine, so for what would I ever need to be taught. At seventeen I entered the service and because of my desired MOS I had to be a High School Graduate, hey gave me the GED Tests and I maxed two of them and a couple I scored in the low nineties and I was certified.

I did take several College classes in the Service and after I came home but as an uneducated dummy I also established my own company but I will admit that I missed not being with the guys in High School. You will never get that back.
