Luminous_Rose ,

I had a similar experience about 2 years ago. Our team went out for ice cream and a Muslim co- worker was telling us about one of their religious holidays. It reminded me of the Jewish holiday Purim and next thing I know, we are talking about Saul and David and how Israel got put in the position for Esther to speak to the King in the first place.

I was surprised how many of the biblical characters are spoken about in the Koran.
Anyway, the whole car went silent as all our co-workers listened and it spurred future conversations with others.
Must be me,the arabic names for moses, moussa, elijah ,same ,malik, malak, angel, jacob, yacob, said the same in Hebrew

I unexpectedly have tomorrow OFF! :coke

(Praise God for an early busy season but I've been going non-stop and am bushed and need to catch up on a million details and fix a bunch of things and tend to my yard and defeat 14 acres of garlic mustard and I'm exhausted)

Sweet! I'm curious about the 14 acres of garlic mustard, but don't bother explaining :) Just enjoy your day off and remember to spend some time to recharge!

Tada! My desktop computer works again, Praise the Lord!!

But this is good job story thread so I'll stick with that. The new job is going awesome. They like me. I (finally!) got my work truck this past monday. A real service van, an E250 with shelves and stuff. Now I can stock my truck with all my tools and stuff. I only took tools used the most until now because they had me in a big box truck with no shelving and evrything gets thrown around when I drive.

I got to work with the bosses son yesterday. Well, he is my boss. His dad only does sales anymore, except for taking a turn the on call rotation. How cool is that?! But his son is my sons age, lol. So it's sorta like I work for my son, lol. He's a little weak in electricity and he knows that I got NATE certified so he wanted to take me on a problem child call of his that he's been having troubles with. A new 3 phase roof top unit that they installed not quite a year ago, and they keep calling back with no cools for it. I think everyone in the company has been out on it trying to fix it and no one has. They usually just add some refrigerant for some reason. When he told me that, I wasn't sure I could be of any help, ya know what I mean?!

I don't get to play with 3 phase equipment too much, so I hoped that I could be some help. As it turned out, I did help. they had a bad 3 pole breaker dropping voltage across one leg. I felt lucky because it wasn't anything too hard, the bosses son freaked and is all Yay Ed now, lol. So that's good. (Their top tech didn't find it, and I consider him better than me)

Not anything earth shaking but it was good.

Thanks for sharing Edward! Glad this job is working out so much better than the other one! Its always great when you get a win while someone else is watching - especially when that someone is your boss.
:)

As an A/C man, we're pretty busy. My new job hasn't given enough time to really get to know my bosses, just the guys I work alongside here and there. But this morning me & my boss (the son) were talking by his truck with his door open and I happened to see the books that he's reading in his truck door. I forget the name of it, but it was a book about how heaven affects one's finances. (Aha! An opportunity to speak of our Lord!)

Even though we all talked a little bit about being Brothers in Christ when I was hired, somehow, I didn't think the owners son was a serious believer. Idk, maybe it was his age? (32-33) but I figured that his dad was prolly the spiritual one...I found out today that I couldn't have been more wrong!

I mentioned the book, and he takes off, talking about the Lord! How the Lord has helped him on jobs before, things about his church, he asked if I believe in speaking tongues...wow. He finally invited me to his church!

...He even taught me something I didn't know. About speaking in tongues...and I know he was right because it just "clicked" in my heart...(I was wrong in what I thought!)

Needless to say, this is a good job story no matter how you slice it.

On top of that, my only two jobs today were at two different churches, lol.
I like working at churches, the Lord's house.
