I am reading a sci-fi ish trilogy by C. S. Lewis currently. Finished the first book within 6 hours--couldn't put it down!

It's really cool, because it has the same kind of allegorical implications as his Narnia books. It also suggests that if aliens exist, then perhaps they were never in need of salvation because perhaps they were never corrupted in the first place.

I also love Star Wars, including the EU, or expanded universe which are comics and novels that attempt to add to the story and are consider canon. (Until Disney, the new copyright owners of Star Wars, makes that new movie and renders the entire EU non canon, anyway.)
A few years ago, when I was pretty much obsessed with Star Wars, I actually discovered for myself some allegorical implications--this actually helped me to grow closer to God. And Star Wars was definitely not intended to be an allegory--God can use anything.

Haha awesome! I just started reading the same series by C.S. Lewis, is it called "Out of the silent planet" by any chance? I read some reviews and I heard it's a great book! The Narnia books he wrote are also great!

Yeah, that's the one. I liked it even more than I liked Narnia.

Ah wow nice! I will start reading those series as soon as I finished the book I am currently reading "Confessions by a murder suspect" which is quite good. I think it's a thriller, not quite sure. It's written by James Patterson.

oh yes christians should write sci fi and fantasy.God made us all so different on purpose he has a diverse beautiful family.Im not big on sci fi but i love fantasy especially harry potter!I dont worry about the witchy/magic part of it because I used to practice actual witchcraft before I was delivered so yeah I know firsthand theres a huge difference.

Interesting.

I know someone who is always harping on how actual former witches claim Harry Potter uses real magic...that argument always seemed kinda fishy to me, IDK. I've seen too many people who made claims similar to that, were extremely dogmatic about it--and I used to believe them--and later on I found out there was little to no truth behind it.

when i was first delivered I was extremely fearful to go near anything even remotely witchy but over time i sort of calmed down and realized i have always liked movies about magic or halloween since i was at least 6 yrs old and it was just part of who I am ,I knew I wasnt going to go back through the nightmare i just came out of because i wasnt going to build another altar and do all of that just to be tortured by demons again uh no thank you lol.It did take time but I feel God gave me alot of peace on it.

I remember that. you used to at times pm me on that. hmm I should ponder the universe I created years ago and what the origins of the transformers was and how the war with the quintensons went and the players.

"until all are one"
