I suggest this is in appropriate characterization for you to make, especially in your function as a moderator.

You may not see the Biblical texts the same way "we pacifists do". Fine. You are free to make the relevant arguments. But this kind of statement places those of us who think that the Bible teaches a "pacifist" approach to aggression in the category of "worthless men".

What is the reason why Jesus followers are not fighting?

It is that they are servants of a new kingdom. Jesus is quite clear - the kingdom he was inaugurating were like the kingdoms of this world, his disciples would indeed use force to defend Him.

Challenging though it may be, it is clear that non-violent means are an indicator that of membership in the kingdom that Jesus is initiating.

ok, then if you honestly believe that our govt is that way and did attack us to instigate the war,and kill us. lead the way in the next revolution, after all its an attack that was made on the innocent men and women.

and i was refering to her exs that stalked her and me, was jailed for such and also also had a shotgun pointed at his head when he was beating my wife when they were married. the person who held the shotgun was her daughter, and almost discharged it.

that wasnt meant to be an attack on pacifist but some here come across to the point that you would just watch your spouse die(which i doubt).

look in the mirror. we all sin. look around at your job. someone steals,lies and maybe kills.

i dont have to look far and find sin, in fact its in me daily.

rich men steal, lie. and so do some pastors and bloggers on planet prison.

I sin. But I dont steal, lie or kill. There is a difference between sin and corruption. You say there is corruption in government but its not totally corrupt. I agree. Is there a chance that corruption exists at the highest levels?

Do you still have the right to due process and right to jury trial?

How 'bout the people in Guantanamo? Have they any rights? Have they had any trial? In a court of law are these men guilty?
