Should Christians Watch Horror Movies ?

In March 1781, in response to the threat posed by Arnold and Phillips, General Washington had dispatched Marquis de Lafayette to defend Virginia. The young Frenchman had 3,200 men at his command, but British troops in the state now totalled 7,200.[10] Lafayette skirmished with Cornwallis, avoiding a decisive battle while gathering reinforcements. It was during this period that Cornwallis received orders from Clinton to choose a position on the Virginia Peninsula—referred to in contemporary letters as the "Williamsburg Neck"—and construct a fortified naval post to shelter ships of the line.[11] In complying with this order, Cornwallis put himself in a position to become trapped. With the arrival of the French fleet under the Comte de Grasse and General George Washington's combined French-American army, Cornwallis found himself cut off. After the Royal Navy fleet under Admiral Thomas Graves was defeated by the French at the Battle of the Chesapeake, and the French siege train arrived from Newport, Rhode Island, his position became untenable. He surrendered to General Washington and the French commander, the Comte de Rochambeau, on 19 October 1781.[12] Cornwallis, apparently not wanting to face Washington, claimed to be ill on the day of the surrender, and sent Brigadier General Charles O'Hara in his place to formally surrender his sword. Washington had his second-in-command, Benjamin Lincoln, accept Cornwallis' sword

Jason for a guy who does not watch TV or go to the movies you sure know a lot;)
i stopped watching tv last year.
on movies i pick and choose certain shows that dont offend me on my convictions.
the patriot is rather old prior 2003. i watched when i was in college when i was taking american history class( from pre-columbus-to the 1865 was the time frame taught).
we looked at that movie and its inaccuracies.
that and the army did teach me alot.
von stuben and the french are the ones where we got the salute from and the idea of drill and ceremony.

Guys it's only fiction! ¬.¬ Are actually telling me that your really unable to discern real life from fantasy? What dose that say about you?
I mean I can understand if your genuinely dislike the subject matter find it emotionally disturbing in a way you don't want to experience (ie Jasons explaination) or find it crude or crass I can get that.
Certainly I myself think that most of the "horror films" that come out of hollywood these days are so uninvolving beyond words and are little more than those "Screamer" videos that a kid makes and finds amusing.
Worthless culturally and unentertaining in my opinion
However there are some stories and narratives that I do find intresting and the fear that those stories make you feel can be honestly quite exciting.
Dispite what pepole say about gore I can tell you nothing I've seen comes close to a realistic approximation to what a horrible injury looks like and I've seen some horrible injuries in my own flesh and in reality aswell. (Anatomy class/Disease and immunology class)
