Should we pick up hitch hikers? Some say we should help those who need a ride, but isn't it dangerous to pick up strangers? They could have guns or swords on them.

I pick them up all the time, what a awesome opportunity to talk God and if they plan on using a gun or other weapon on me good luck i always ride with a handgun VERY close to my reach.

I hope you are carrying legally, otherwise you are just adding to the problem.

I would not pick up hitchhikers. It's not a safe practice at all. I would stop to help someone with their car though. This probably sounds sexists, but I would not recommend women for helping people on the side of the road. Don't flame me........ :wave

Yeah i know. I am thinking about switching to a backpacker shotgun. I always carry a knife to. :shrug

You know what??

That can lead to some serious consequences John.

They have CCW here, but I don't carry. I don't feel in so much danger that I could not handle it with pepperspray or hand to hand skills.

I do reccommend womed for conceal carry, jujitsu, pepperspray, etc....I hope that doesn't come across as sexist. Women are just physically smaller, weaker, and more likely to be a victim.

don't flame me........I'm just looking out as a protector. :oops

Your absolutely right, its just that my firearms are all back in Nova Scotia and i only have 2 with me now. the SKS and a 9mm Browning :lol

I will probably just use some good ole bear spray instead from now on.

As the recession gets rolling along and more and more people are unemployed there will be more and more crime. My area has seen a spike in crime lately, home invasions, thefts, etc....

Don't wait to be a victim to protect yourself and family.

In my life these crimes have affected me:

1: Truck broken into and items stolen. Had to replace window and my ripped dashboard!!

2: Truck stolen from mall parking lot.

3: Mother was victim of murder suicide.

4: Someone tried to kick in my back door while I was gone.

5: My dads house was burglarized while he was gone.

6: Someone has twice tried to rob me. (I'm 6 2' 195lbs....and some guy tried to rob me.) :crazy
What if I was a 5'4 125lb woman???

7: Someone killed my dog years ago.
