Lance~ regarding you towel reference... I found this info on WIKI:

"Don't Panic" on Towel day." Because... A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta…wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat…wrap it around your head to ward off noxious fumes…any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the Galaxy, rough it … win through, and still know where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with. :biggrin

PS~ the only hitchhikers I pick up are those "women & or children" the Lord specifically tells me to pick up ~ no worries as long as it's God's will. eh dudes :oops and dudettes? :thumbsup

I do reccommend womed for conceal carry, jujitsu, pepperspray, etc....I hope that doesn't come across as sexist. Women are just physically smaller, weaker, and more likely to be a victim.

don't flame me........I'm just looking out as a protector.

You go guy! I have two son-in=laws who are just like you... protectors. Yes, womens are definitely physically smaller and weaker than men in general. I am so thankful for the men who have protected me thru my life!

Especially. Lonnie, my grandad. He was my hero before I met Jesus~ he rescued me off a bus that was flooding in a terrible storm reaching his big arms in to pluck me out the window...and many other 5 year olds. My CHEST just SWELLED up like a balloon, after the wimpering died down, I was so proud. :salute

He made me homemade peach icecream with his strong arm churning the non electric mixer. I was in awe of his strength. :crazy

And most of all~ I well remember the day I sat in the nurses office in wet panties... I had peed during the flag salute (too afraid to ask to go). He came and scooped me up in His big arms and cleaned me all up. Then he dressed me in fresh panties and my best sunday dress~ and took my hand and walked me back to class. :crying He was a gentle ~ man. I learned to love men from him. Miss him. :heart

I pick them up all the time, what a awesome opportunity to talk God and if they plan on using a gun or other weapon on me good luck i always ride with a handgun VERY close to my reach.

I hope you are carrying legally, otherwise you are just adding to the problem.

I would not pick up hitchhikers. It's not a safe practice at all. I would stop to help someone with their car though. This probably sounds sexists, but I would not recommend women for helping people on the side of the road. Don't flame me........ :wave
i agree, have i pick up hitch hikers, yes, only a few and it was usually to get their car running or help them push the broke car off the road,
