Should wives tell their hubby's what to eat? And what not to eat?

Dave, Dave, Dave.....you know husbands are like children at times [please don't be offended men], but as soon as we are out of eye sight you know they're eating what they want, and not what we suggest/tell them. My hubby is a diabetic and conjestive heart failure, and I tried and tried to get him to eat right, and as soon as he was out of my sight he was eating what he wanted.

Finally I told him, you go ahead and eat what you want and not what I prepare for you, cause when you die, I spending that $250000.00 insurance policy you're leaving me and I'm going to have a grand ole time with it!

Well now he eats what he should, and not what he wants........cause shortly after that he had his first heart attack and his second stint put in his heart. Nowwwwwwww he listens, after I threaten to blow two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. BTW, which I wouldn't have blown, but I had to do something to get him straight. :lol

They can make suggestions, but NO one is going tot ell me what I can or cannot eat except my doctor. Even then I might not listen to him. One doctor told me, "You will be on a bland diet for the rest of your life." I have not done that. While I often suffer with gas and occasionally with heartburn, there are medications for that. I love hot and spicy and can't stand bland food.

I try to make healthy good-tasting food to make him want to eat well, but I am not his mother...in fact, I am closer to the age of his daughter. :o :biggrin

Dave,
One of the first things you learn when your married is to never bite the had that feeds you :biggrin Literally! :lol

I my wife makes baked beans I will have to refuse them. I don't like the taste and they make me fart. I am sure she wouldn't wanna kiss me after I have had baked beans go through my system. But you know what they say, why fart and waste it when you can burp and taste it? :tongue

Okay, that was gross. :lol But yeah, I just hope I will never be forced to eat baked beans! :naughty

Me too! In fact, I was just telling Timothy the other day how it's one of my favourite quick meals...put it on for pieces of buttered toast, stick it in the microwave, and bon apetit.

My husband oft complains about not being able to keep weight off( he can be like a woman with his weight, up and down) so when he goes to the fridge and gets milk and cookies at 9 or 10pm, i will sometimes remind him that's why he can't keep weight off. I only do this once in awhile though, and i'm never mean about it.

Do men wake up early to cook for their wives?

Do men get up an hour early in the day so they can make breakfast for their wife and bring it to her when she wakes up?

Re: Do men wake up early to cook for their wives?

My sweet hubby Bear has occasionally....Though his cooking is little to be desired, I loved it, him waking me up, telling me to close my eyes, serving me breakfast/bacon & eggs & toast w/OJ with that little boy grin he gives me sometimes....sweet baby.
