The first 42 years of my life God was not in my life. There was some interesting feeling when I was 10 which me to go up for an altar call, but that could only be compared to a brief light breeze. And at least in the churches I did occasionally go to with the Christians that I occasionally came across, the impression I got was that God didn't really do miracles and fantastic things any more.

Then He came into my life, about 17 years ago and since then I can hardly believe the number of testimonies I have and I know I am not alone with that. I still don't hear a lot of testimonies, but because the Lord has me in a healing ministry you just run across them. From my personal experience God seems to do at least some healing in about 1 in 3 people we pray for, and even in the ones He does it seems something happens. Every time I go to the ministry I walk away amazed. So it just seems we Christians need to give more testimonies in order to encourage others to seek the Lord and even seek Him for more in the lives of people.

I can't go over details but let me give some rough ideas of what I see.

We had a lady that came in to get prayer because she was going to have heart surgery the following morning. Three of us prayed for her and we felt the presence of God fall pretty good. The next day she went in for surgery and they wound up sending her home because she was now fine.

Another time a guy came in with his wife because she wanted prayer. One of the minister hears the Lord something about his walk and stops him about his walk. He prays for the guy who didn't some for prayer, but who had lived his life with one leg longer than the other. A leg grows out and they become even.

A lady that hadn't been able to speak a word for about 30 years suddenly starts to talk. And guy whose eyes were fuzzy and could hard see get clear eyes and vision. A person that had to have a wheel chair starts walking and leave us with the wheel chair. Of course these are that rarer testimonies, about 1 in hundred, but even those happen fairly often because we pray for about 30 people a week and most of those are not in for physical healing or for smaller physical problems like back, shoulder, or head ache. Those are usually about a 50 - 50 chance of seeing God heal them.

I remember the first time I went to that healing ministry. The Lord told me to go there. I asked HIm, "Why do you want me to go there?" He told me, "What about your knee?

I had hurt my knee surfing maybe 20 years before that and made it worse refereeing soccer games. I had to stop that but it wasn't really that bad. I could walk and even run a little. I just could squat. Anyway, I went because He told me to go. They prayed for it, it got hot and instantly was healed and has been that way since, and that was about 7 years ago. It was all extremely fast, It just got hot and was healed.

About 4 years ago He asked me to go back and help in that ministry, and it amazes me how often He heals people. And it is not about us at all. He does, or maybe He doesn't, but often He does. So why are we not promoting it around the church more and taking time to pray more?
