Even though I know that the Bible says that He does, sometimes I start doubting it and I just don't feel saved. I have screwed up so much in my life that I just feel guilty and don't feel like I can be forgiven. Sometimes I just still feel lost and wanting to feel His presence in my life.

Its still there but we don't feel it until we fully repent. The repentance may need to take a stronger form such as a fast and few hour prayer vigil. Sin separates us from God but it's not his fault. Also even saints can experience a period of dryness when they do not feel close to God.

It seems that you are still very young in the Lord with very little knowledge, but yet enough to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Satan loves to prey on the weak and will cause much doubt to enter your mind so he can steal your faith from you which is Christ Jesus, John 10:10. Never doubt that God loves you as you are His child and no one can take you out of His hands.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

If you told me you where screwing up and you felt proud and good about it then i would be worried for you...

But you feel guilty about it.. And that's good.. Now it is not good however to wallow for days in your guilt.. When we feel guilty that's when we need to talk to God about it and acknowledge our sin and thank Him for forgiving us through the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ.. Then we can move on,, no longer weighed down by guilt.. Since God has forgiven us what's the point of withholding the same grace from ourselves.. We should forgive ourselves and move on in life..

There is a big problem with people doubting their salvation because they feel guilty because they have sinned and they feel they are not good enough to have salvation.... That comes from a works salvation mindset.. The belief we are saved because we are good people worthy to be saved.....

If we where good enough to have eternity with God in His perfect existence then Jesus would not have needed to come into this world and suffer death to pay the price of our sins... The truth is that no human being gains for themselves entry into eternity with God by being good enough or worthy...

People will enter into eternity with God because they are forgiven all the things that make them Unworthy to enter into eternity with God..

Salvation has never been based on our performance in being good enough.. It has always been based on our Believing Jesus is good and trusting in what Jesus did to ensure those who believe Him are deemed good .. That's why Jesus is our Redeemer...

1 John 2: KJV
1 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: {2} And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

Also "moral OCD" may apply here. Or "Religious Scrupulosity" is what its sometimes called. We need to stop obsessing over small things and focus on the 3 R's. (Relationship, Repent. Renewal. )Trust God has forgiven you. That trust will be repaid if you repent and renew.

I think the key to responding to your statement is that feelings are not reliable as a basis for most things. (An example of reliability might be to "feel" like having a piece of pie.)

Reality is based on facts, not feelings.
Fact: God so loved the world that He gave is only begotten son that whosoever believes on Him will have eternal life.
You can trust that.

Decisions should NEVER be based on "feelings". (Other than what flavor ice cream to get and the like).
When someone asks; "What do you feel is the right thing to do?" the proper answer might well include some statement about not being so silly as to base any important decision on feelings.

Everything God has done for our salvation was done because of His love for creation in general and you specifically.

Believe it.
Trust it.
Bet your eternal life on it.

I know the feeling. I suffer from depression and it can interfere with emotions. But Christ made a promise and He can not lie. I have nothing on this earth as it is that I want to stay here. I often wonder what we will be like when we are translated into a new body. I hope I know my wife for I love her more than life. But if we know Christ and the disciples, I'm sure I will know her. If you have faith in Christ, however so weak it may be, you are assured of your standing as the most illustrious saints. We live in such a negative time that there is no good broadcast hardly anywhere. even on here there can be some friction. I come to minister to and be ministered to. We need more Scripture positive and brotherly encouragement as the days linger on of our blessed hope. I will leave you with this (Heb. 13:5). Pray for me also, for I'am only as strong as the circle of believers.

When God sets you apart and he is disciplining you and training you all at once because there isn’t much time left, it can seem very mean, very unfair, restricted, can’t do anything outside his will....and when you try? Look out! It cam seem like that at first, but it couldn’t br further from the truth. It really is for our own good no matter how painful and unfair everything in our life seems. Its good when windows and doors are constantly slammed in our faces. We are not part of the world. Just keep looking at Jesus, no one or nothing else. Satan is gonna throw everything at us especially in our weakest moments....we are almost there. Don’t believe Satan’s lies.

The reason that you can always count on God's love, is two-fold.

1.) God IS Love, so, how can He not perform what He Is....for you?
It would be impossible for God not to Love you, as He IS Love.

2.) Salvation, IS the act of God's forgiveness, through Christ's bloody sacrifice on a Cross,.. and it is absolutely always in effect, even when we blow it, and no matter how many times we blow it.
"Blowing it", has no effect on the Saving Grace of God, and this is because you can't sin beyond the ability of the Blood of Christ to keep you forgiven.
This is the fact of GOD's GRACE.
See, its Christ and His sacrifice which takes care of all your sin, and the reason it can do this is because as Christ is Eternal, so the power of Christ's blood to continue your ATONEMENT, is also, eternal.
Consider the redeeming Blood of Jesus, = which has the authority and dominion and POWER to have been shed 2000 years ago, YET< it keeps forgiving into the FUTURE, and beyond.
Such is the POWER in the BLOOD of the Lamb.
And why is this?
Because the Blood of Jesus, is GOD"S BLOOD, and GOD'S BLOOD NEVER FAILS TO FORGIVE.
EVER !
ITS 100% CERTAIN to redeem you from all your sin, and do it for eternity.

"Oh Crimson is the flow, that makes me white as snow,.. no other fount i know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.""

Reality is based on facts, not feelings.
I know where you're coming from and you are right in a way. But.......
we have feelings for a reason. Feelings alone are a poor basis for decision making but sometimes they indicate an alternative that can be win/win for all.
I trust my wife's gut instinct . Often she's right. And I always check my own gut instinct.
If I don't feel good about a salesman who is selling me something, I try another.
If I don't feel a good vibe in a job interview, I don't take the job.
If I don't feel there is a good relationship with God and I, I am usually right and if I use my brain to check off the reasons, they usually match that gut feeling.

Feelings?
Genesis 3:1 KJV
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Senses were not involved when God said not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

It took the serpent till verse 5 to get to eyes for decision making.

Senses:
Looks good -eyes
Tastes good
Smells good
Feels good
Sounds good

If Satan can get us to follow senses - we lose. Especially if Satan tempts us to leave scripture.

If we follow faith God gives, we benefit.

Do I understand everything about senses? No.
