Funny you should ask. I saw mine about eight years ago. We just walked by each other in a parking lot. We both knew instantly. Haven't seen her since.Does anyone here have a soulmate on the forum?
Hi Kevin,Funny you should ask. I saw mine about eight years ago. We just walked by each other in a parking lot. We both knew instantly. Haven't seen her since.
I may never even get married (to anyone else) because of this. Sad, yeah?
What exactly is a soulmate if the potential exists for anyone to be anyone's soulmate?(I think) that the potential exists for anyone to be anyone else's soulmate, within their bounds of preference of course, lol.
We're (spiritual) electrical beings. Our bodies are designed to both transmit and receive electromagnetic signals. Our eyes seem to be our primary receptors.
When love meets love even for a moment...BAM, something happens when the connection is made. There's an arc of power that surges forth. It feels real good. (Wow she must be my soulmate) kind of good.
And we have the capacity to love anyone. When girls eyes meets boys eyes, and they each one gives of the love that is within themselves sparks will fly.
There's a lot to this story. What is a soulmate? Depends who you talk to. The New Age explanation is that it's your literal other half, that we start out as spiritual zygotes and are split into male and female halves. A traditional religionist would say it's simply the person God has chosen for you.Hi Kevin,
I think this thread is so interesting.
Why would you think you ran into your soulmate?
What is a soulmate to you?
Maybe what you're referring to above could be termed "love at first sight."
Is there a difference?
Wondering
I'm sure everyone has their own understanding. Feelings are not easy to pin down and Webster doesn't know the soul of a person. There's a lot to this story. What is a soulmate? How did I know? I just knew. And not just at the time of the meeting. I knew I would be seeing this person several months before it happened. I knew exactly what she was going to look like, and I was right in every detail.
Personally I think "love at first sight" is when a person runs into their SM. It's very rare, but it does happen.
I just know I'll never change my mind about this. Others can believe as they want.
You sound like such a romantic!(I think) that the potential exists for anyone to be anyone else's soulmate, within their bounds of preference of course, lol.

I think I like the way you think, Wondering. So little is known about SMs that we kind of have to consider everyone's individual thoughts for the time being.I'm sure everyone has their own understanding. Feelings are not easy to pin down and Webster doesn't know the soul of a person.
I'm not in agreement with the traditional religionist - if what you say is what they believe.
The person God has chosen for you may or may not be a soulmate.
People get married nowadays because they "love" each other - only to split up after some time.
So how was that love? Real love lasts forever.
And, they most probably weren't even soulmates.
That lasts forever too. You don't just stop being someone's soulmate.

You don't "see" a soulmate relationship - you experience it.I think I like the way you think, Wondering. So little is known about SMs that we kind of have to consider everyone's individual thoughts for the time being.
Are you in a soulmate relationship yourself, or have you at least seen one like I have?
And your opinion, do you think I'm crazy to think I might actually re-encounter my SM some day, and maybe this time be in a better position to invite her into my life, and vice versa?
What exactly is a soulmate if the potential exists for anyone to be anyone's soulmate?
Then of what importance is it?
Is it important and special, or is it just an ordinary feeling?
IS love the same as being soulmates?

I have to disagree though, with one comment:
that the potential exists for anyone to be anyone else's soulmate, within their bounds of preference of course
This cannot be true. You think one gets to CHOOSE who a soulmate can be? You mean I could choose that my neighbor be my soulmate??
No way!
It's either there or it's not.
