Barbarian observes:
Ah, so it's not literal singing, it's figurative. Got it. Now let's look at the same sort of thing in Genesis...

Yes, it wasn't a literal fall in the garden.....it was only figurative.
You think that a parable can't be about an actual event? How so? We know that there were two original ancestors who disobeyed God. But if you base your faith on reworking Genesis to get the number of days involved, you're missing everything God is telling you.

Yes Barbarian....I added all kinds of stuff to the Bible when I saw Eve was formed from Adams rib.
Yes, you tried to rework it into a literal history. For some reason, you don't want to do that about mountains with vocal cords. Instead of basing your faith on your new interpretation of Genesis, why not just listen to what God is telling you about Himself, and us, and how our relationship is and should be?

Once you stop trying to shoehorn Him into your expectations, you'll find peace.

How does the T.O.E explain original sin?

If it didn't happen like Genesis says...then what happened?

You might as well ask the theory of gravitation to explain.

Just not something science can do.

That's the main issue. They can't explain it.
No, that's wrong. Science can't explain original sin, but scientists can.

Humans today are descended from a single pair of humans who chose to disobey God.

You're confusing science and scientists.

Wihin the brackets of your supposed science....evolutionism...you can't explain original sin without leaving the bible behind.

Your post over the last year or so have clearly showned that to be the case.

Keep in mind I really don't expect a Theo-Evo to explain original sin outside of the bible....as they can't and stay true to the Word of God.

As you know, "evolutionism" is a strawman, made up by creationists. So you'll have to talk to them about that.

you can't explain original sin without leaving the bible behind.
Maybe you can't. But the Bible is sufficient to do this as I and others have repeatedly reminded you.

Show me where I said that. That's not a rhetorical question. It's a serious accusation to make against a fellow Christian, and it would be prudent for you to show that the accusation is true. If you'd like to retract that and say you were mistaken, there won't be any problem. But I will check.

Keep in mind I really don't expect a Theo-Evo to explain original sin outside of the bible....
This isn't about your expectations. It's about that accusation. Be sure to document that it's true. Soon. Don't forget, you need to show a pattern of me doing that over the past year or so.

as they can't and stay true to the Word of God.
IX THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGHBOR.

Can you stay true to God's word? Let's see how well...

It sure does...it speaks of Adam and Eve falling in the Garden of Eden....which your religion of evolutionism can't explain away.

So I'm guessing you aren't going to support your accusation?

So much for "staying true to the word of God."
