Should Children be allowed to learn to shoot guns under adult supervision?

ok, if there's an interpretation you wish to present, go ahead. (you haven't yet, as far as I know, concerning this)
(i already posted the Scripture that plainly says it's not open to private interpretation...).
so, then, if you know differently, what do you say (interpret?) Yhwh means when He says through Peter ?> (from any language is fine, thank you)

No, you have no clue why I said what I did in the post that you only partially quoted out of context, missing the point entirely. Just read it again, the whole thing this time and in the context of the rest of the thread, and maybe you'll get it. Beyond that, well, have a good evening. This isn't worth further discussion in this thread.
 
You want A clue? Simple. I think it's obvious (since you didn't supply an answer) that you (and it looks like Gary) want an opinion or an interpretation that goes along with your own beliefs and I won't supply you with one.
You never did supply any so-called interpretation nor opinion from any of my posts in any thread or name.
If you can find one, in this thread or any other,even just one(and , possibly, you might even find one for real if you look for real), go ahead and post it (in a new and exciting thread if you like) .

I recently saw/heard a statement that every single weapon invented had been used in war, or in some hostile manner. And it makes sense. Guns aren't special in this regard.
If weapons didn't exist, people would fight with their bare hands. The world wouldn't be any prettier than it is now.

Yes, definitely. Gun safety is important.

When I was 15, my brother was in the cub scouts. Since it was just the cub scouts, family was allowed to go on the camping trips. At one camp site, they had a shooting range for BB guns. I participated.
We were made to use the utmost safety. Each time the rules of what not to do were gone over, and we wore safety goggles. Once I got called out for carelessly pointing the gun behind me and told that if I did it again I'd have to get off the shooting range. And these weren't real guns, but they still made safety the top priority.

Children using guns without parental submission on the other hand? No, obviously not. If you have guns, keep them secure. Lock them up when not in use.

I heard this a long time ago: "There's never been a weapon made that's never been used."

It was a lecture on Nuclear weapons and the Soviet Union.

A guy did that on a live fire range when I was in Basic Training.


I heard a lot of expletives that day. :angry3

Classik People still hunt. I would think knowing how to provide for yourself in that manner would be a very useful skill to have.
Years ago I stayed with this family while my dad was hospitalized. The man of the family often went away for a few days to hunt, and he'd take his son with him. They would talk about what they hoped to catch.

It was north Vermont, and a lot of people there hunted...apparently. One morning there was a dead deer in their yard, and their dog had torn him open and was taking all the meat and burying it. They think someone had shot the deer, but were unable to retrieve it because it had jumped over their fence. (It was a large piece of land as property goes, and they lived kinda in the country...away from the city, anyhow. Surrounded by woods.)

Yep, I'm not a hunter myself but it seems most people around me are. Not too far north of me up in Canada I've talked to people that get most of the meat for their families by hunting. But I love animals and even though I'm both a meat eater and an expert with a gun, I would have a hard time pulling the trigger and eventually eating an animal I'd seen alive. I probably could if I had to, but to me the supermarket's the place I do my hunting.
