hey

nobody is forcing it here. We were stating that we all need to stamd up for what we believe in and fight this war against hate together. There is nothin wrong with what was said. We have our own moths and our own thoughts and this is a great place to let off some steam in a christian way. So please, do't take it the wrong way. We are who we are because God made us this way. :shocked!:  :Fade-color   :shocked!:

we're aren't fighting against flesh and blood but spiritual forces of evil. we have to fight in the Spirit too, that means we need to get tight with God and know the Word. b/c sometimes all some1 needs is a 'Jesus loves u' and other times they're like 'yeah right, everybody says that, but they didn't even wait to talk to me..' sometimes we need to ask how are u and then listen and other times we need to pray with some1 or tell them something specific or just be their friend. the only way we have discernment is by getting tight with God, we can't do this on our own strenth. i absolutely believe that rivival fire is brewing, but it's not happening by the strongest or the smartest, but by the weakest and the most broken who have given every part of themselves to God. i encourage you guys to check out the 24-7 prayer link. and the red moon rising book, it'll blow you away.

I'm 14 and homeschooled as well, but I'm going back to public next year :-?

it's one thing to "spread" the word, and another to "force" it. if you talk about Jesus to someone, don't worry if you're the one who "brings that person to Christ." it's not up to you. it's a team sport. God is using us all in large and small ways that we cannot understand. here's a quick story for you about me:
all my life, every corner i've turned, there has been someone telling me about Jesus. some more forcefull than others. it was in time when my soul was ready, that i accepted it... and i thought about all the people who talked to me. i'd like to think i remembered most of them... but it was the people who were subtle about it that made the most impact on me. the ones who "forced" it were the ones pushing me away...the ones who were like "jesus is our savior and here's how to learn more about Him" and let that be it were the ones who actually sparked my interest. they had FAITH in the awesome power of God and they didn't feel the NEED to FORCE me at THAT MOMENT to "get right with God." they KNEW God would do the work they COULDN'T do. all we have to do as Christians is keep the faith and spread the word about Jesus. that's it. if you see someone on the street, a simple "Jesus loves you" and keep on walking will work WONDERS that you will never know! because now that person is like..."hmm...that was nice. i'm sick of those 'Bible-bangers' who keep beating a dead horse and force me into a prayer with them right there in front of Starbucks..." I promise, they'll think about that ALOT more than when someone tries to "scare" them into the church. That's just how I see it... anyone agree with me?

I couldent agree more! if you come on to someone to fast they will just get knocked down by your wake. forceing people to go to church or youth group turns most people off.

frustrated

I just started reading the bible. my boyfriend John said God could help me with my problems.

short life story ( i promise it wont take long)
I got raped.
My brother and best friend died.
i get bullied in school. because of that i have panic attacks.
Panic attacks got me to stay home all the time.
I have had so much people telling me stuff like: "thats bound to help"
and nothing did.
And now I have this stubborness that i want proof before believing.
I really do want to believe in God, and I kind of do, but i don't fully trust him yet. How can i change this? I want to but on the other hand I dont. I know i'm weird.

Love,
Jenny

Jenny, i'm very sorry to hear of such a rough start. I'll be praying for you, and I hope God places people in your life to guide your steps. 8-)

I like this thread! Erm... sorry everyone, I got on a bit of a role for this post. Don't let something as small as length scare you away - be brave and read. ;-)

I think as teens, we should pray for the spirit to be so heavily on us that when people see us, they KNOW its not US they're seeing but rather God, and that they will fall down and repent. Just think, a revival starting in a HIGHSCHOOL and SPREADING LIKE FIRE to other states, to other nations.....it would be amazin and it CAN happen

Amen! :-D

We need to be as comfortable talking about our passion Jesus, as others are when talking about their passions like cars, music etc. We need to be passionate. We need to ask and accept the Holy Spirit in us daily so that we can be on fire for Him and have the power to live for Him every minute of the day. Things will turn around in our schools this year if we listen to the call of God, if we humble ourselves down first and worship Him, if we look up to Him, seeking Him before anything and above everything. It starts with prayer. It starts with our hearts in the right place. We need to be available and willing for God to then use us, and work through us. :fadein: "We are here to be worshippers first, and workers second." -A.W. Tozer

Like people have already mentioned, there is a difference between forcing and sharing. For most of us (hopefully all!), accepting Jesus in our lives is the best thing that has ever happened to us! Why would we not want to share the news and joy of someone so wonderful and so beautiful in our lives, with the people around us? God is TOO amazing and INCREDIBLE for us to keep Him to ourselves! :fadein:

I didn't know of Jesus until God led me to one of His *available and willing-to-be-used* children, who introduced me to Him. That night, two years ago, I accepted Him into my life and my life has not been the same since. God turned an ugly life and a broken girl into something beautiful and to this day, is carrying it on into completion. If this is what God can do, if this is the amazing joy and fulfillness He can give - I don't want us to keep Him to ourselves. The world may not accept Him like we have, but I think that we should at least let them know of His unfailing love for THEM, that He died for THEM and that His arms are always open for them to run into when they're ready to accept Him.

For 14 years of my life I did not know of the love that Jesus had for me or the sacrifce He made - for me. I didn't know that there was a Kingdom in Heaven waiting for me and that I was invited to it! For 14 years of my life I was missing out on something so incredibly wonderful! I think people have a right to know of the love He has for them and that they're invited to God's Kingdom whether they choose to accept it or not. That's when we pray and leave it up to the Holy Spirit. It's up to us to give the invitations out! :biggrin

I totaly agree with you guys we are the generation and we can make a difference but we need to stand together and we can WIN, but we also need more ppl to inrole in GOD's army aginst evil, so lets start spreading the word of GOD!!!!!

The everlasting love acceptance from children helps me to see a fraction of what God's love is like for me. 8-)
