It's that time of year again.
It's getting warmer outside and here in the South it gets really warm and humid...so people wear clothes that don't cover you as much.

And many people have tattoos...
And I'm often wondering how they chose the tattoo artist that they did.

I gotta back up a minute to say that I am not intimidated by tattoos. They're just ink. I don't have any but I wouldn't mind having one. Just don't know what I'd want or where I'd put it. Those things last forever.

Which brings me to the point.

So many of these tattoos look bad. The artistry sucks. The fuzzy lines are often not well done. The designs are often just kinda stupid...they do nothing for their wearers. (Poor choice) Other times the lines aren't straight or consistent curves. (Just bad artistry) Then you can always tell who can't stop drinking alcoholic beverages because of the fuzzy lines... alcoholic beverages when getting a tattoo makes them spread badly... you usually can't drink for a couple weeks after getting one.

Once in a while I see a good one. Nice artistry, clear picture, and good colors....but they are few and far in between.

So...if you must get one...do it sober and do some research into the artist...make sure that they have some idea how to draw.

It's not so bad that you can't take it...but it's gonna hurt going in. I get hurt enough without signing up for extra.

Well, unless it washes off in the bathtub :lol And just for the record for all of the people offended by this. Tattoos are not forbidden anymore. That was underneath the old covenant in the OT. Besides, there are even religious tattoos out there nowadays like crosses and Jesus' picture and stuff. Anyway, like I said, I don't want to get a tattoo, but if I did,.. it certainly wouldn't be from this lady.

Yeah, it tells a story. Walt Dailey from Tiger Tattoo was the artist. He was nationally known, I just liked his work.

It's a little faded. I'm going to Spokane Thursday. I should make an appointment and have the colors refreshed. :)

I've got another one that's bad... everything a tattoo shouldn't be. Crooked lines, bad color etc...

No idea, but I find it really gross and rather distracting. I had pierced ears once, and even I found that to be a pain in the butt having to constantly clean and change my earrings as well as making sure my ears were clean and left uninfected. I can only imagine what it would be like having to eat with a piercing on your tongue and how painful it would be. There was one why I guy heard about that wanted a hole on the side of his face. I can show you the picture if you want, but it ain't pretty I can tell you that much.
 
Yeah...when I see a person who has a nose ring...I'm like thinking that they must pick their nose a lot.

The tongue piercing makes me think of burning my tongue on coffee and that since they break your teeth the dentist must love them.

Lol! I know that you probably didn't mean it like this but the way you said; "ehh, that's ok" made it seem like you had body piercings yourself. ROFL!!! You're not hiding anything from us are you? :hysterical:hysterical:hysterical
 
Best to look at their portfolio as every good artist has one of their own work. When you see a good tat ask where they got it done and the persons name. Hubby and I like watching Ink Master. They do some beautiful work.
