To build a corporate Body of Christ, we have to be turned into individual lively stones. Just because we are biologicaly made in the image of God, it does not mean that he is in us at birth (Adam's sin). We are built to confess our sins (repent), accept Jesus for salvation, and receive the Holy Spirit for empowerment for service. In the born again condition we become those lively stones that fit together.
Do not forsake the assembling ourselves together may mean more than my mind knows at this point.

Your comment about rebuilding the David Tabernacle / whatever, prompted all this.
How about looking for the real spiritual Ark to rebuild. Man after his fall has to be rebuilt. If you touch Gods annointed there is danger too (like touching the Ark).

When you have symbolism you have a spiritual reality and a physical symbol to represent that spiritual reality. IMHO what is usually described is the physical symbol and seldom the spiritual reality.

Of course I am just a jerk from Mississippi and what could I know about realities. I do know that He stands at the door to our individual self an if we open the door he will come in to us. Into Us? Well yes I feel the human body (made by God) has a lot of tabernacle parallels: Two lavers for washing (the kidneys), covered with hides (we have skin), staves to give the tabernacle shape (we have bones), clouds give signs for movement during the day (thoughts wile awake), pillar of fire by night (dreams of light with our eyes closed). The tabnercale was mobile and we are mobile....etc.....

IMHO the lungs look a lot like wings. The heart is discussed as a place God dwells in. Twenty four elders bow before the throne and 24 ribs curve around the heart). If you begin to use our being (made by God) as the image the Ark was made from, then to me it all makes more sense.

Do not go into shock. I can slow down if necessary.

Oh my gosh, this is totally off my thought range. New reflection required. Thanks for sharing.

Numbers 7:4 The Lord said to Moses, 5 “Receive these things from them, that they may be used in the work of the meeting tent. Give them to the Levites, to each man for the work he does.†6 So Moses took the wagons and the bulls, and gave them to the Levites. 7 He gave two wagons and four bulls to the sons of Gershon, for the work they were doing. 8 He gave four wagons and eight bulls to the sons of Merari, for the work they were doing under the leading of Ithamar the son of Aaron the religious leader. 9 But Moses did not give any to the sons of Kohath. They had the duty of taking care of the holy objects which had to be carried on their shoulders.

Ohh the flannel boards! :tongue We like the flannel boards!

Hmm...they were carrying the law on their shoulders, literally. It must have been a heavy burden.

With the word hid in our heart, and all the other symbolism we have; reckon we do not carry a heavy burden (Paul seemed to feel the wretched man burden?).

I am so glad Jesus bore our sins on the cross, and our healing is accomplished by the stripes he received. The mind allows us to see how we are aided in all He did. By faith we are seated in heavenly places.

With the mind we soar in the heavens, and we drag the body of death till the end of time. With these things happening, we ought to be able to relate to everyone. Not that we make an excuse for sin, but we crucify this flesh daily.

The central body cavity, IMHO, tells of the burden and answer in the crucified Christ. The brain / mind shows the power of the risen Jesus over sin.

1 Samuel 17:13

King James Version (KJV)

13 And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.

2 Samuel 6

King James Version (KJV)

6 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the Lord of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

Gibeah was a city of Gibeon which was located in Judah. Seeing that the ark had been entrusted to this house for maybe as many as 120 years it seems likely that this Abinadab was the son of Jesse, older brother of David. Thus Uzzah and Ahio would have been David's nephews. They would not have been of the tribe of Levi.

5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

v4 says that Ahio was walking in front of the ark.
v6 Here we see that Uzzah was the only one who touched the ark.
v7 here error is an interesting word in the Hebrew. This is the only time the word is used in the whole of the OT The root word per Strong's can mean a sin of ignorance. Which explains why David was upset with God for His killing Uzzah.

8 And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.

1. Must carry the ark on their shoulders, mercy seat and tablets of law
2. new cart - as in new covenant, new wine, new wine skins, grace, Jesus, unmerited favor, rest
3. ox - Jesus as servant, bullock as in sacrificial, strength (the ox shook the law)
4. touch the ark - the law, letters on stone, kills/death, merited favor, labor

IMHO - They had to carry the burden of the law until it was time for Jesus to come with grace, unmerited favor, rest in Him.
There's much more here when looking at the Hebrew letters and the picture for each letter. One is the letter representing the ox prod, I wonder about the idea of this as representing that it was not the time yet for the law to be shook. That happened at the cross.

Hmm...they were carrying the law on their shoulders, literally. It must have been a heavy burden.
There was a literal ark. Generally there is always a greater thing to be learned. We are in Christ and He is in us.

We have the symbolism of the crucified Christ in us, but Jesus is the reality of all this.
Isaiah 9:6 Government on his shoulders
I Peter 2:24 He bore our sins in his body on the cross
Psalm 22:14 Bones out of Joint etc. (from the heavy burden ?)

There are many more things that could be much better laid out, but I do not understand them yet.

I tend to think:
The backbone (quit- stand up like men) The staff / rod that budded.
The word hid in our heart. Law written in heart.
The entrance of Jesus provides sup with Him

Even Wyatt's Ark of the Covenant claim includes that it won't be publicly revealed until some time in the near future. Therefore, we can't know.

But that does lead to an intriguing idea. There is no way that animal sacrifices can be restored without the authentic mercy seat.

With Jesus living In us (Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me), the sacrafice of Jesus / Messiah is a permanent sacrafice on earth as we confess our sins and intercession is made to the Father in Heaven by our high priest Jesus.

I know it sounds a little strange, but there are the symbols and then the ultimate spiritual reality.

IMHO, note IMHO, the central body cavity contains many of the tabernacle fittings:
Lavers for washing (reins / kidneys)
Three or more coverings (?) skin or hide outer covering, inner viseral covering of the organs, pericardium sac around the heart (double walled).
The liver is the source of energy production (table before the Holy of Holies)
The lungs over the mercy seat look like angles wings (IMHO)

Just as the OT ark was in symbolic form; our human body is just a symbolic representation of of the reality of the potential of having a spiritual Jesus rule and rein on earth. I realize this sounds a little far out. I also realize it presents how sacrafices are presently offered in us (as we confess our sins). We become a kingdom of priests (probably of man due to our sins) and the Melchizedek high preist, Jesus, is in heaven. Actually the permanance of Jesus reigning is probably why a temple was built for a time then was destroyed. Jesus now reigning in heaven. Symbols are hard to be understood, and we do not know the details of the physical ark today nor even all the details of what this post points toward. What I am talking about does not have all the information today, but this is the (we see through a glass darkly). This all is a spiritual journey into looking at spiritual realities.

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Now the physical external temple does not exist, but (IMHO) the reality of the sacrafice of Jesus is now established, and the Father and Son are the light. I realize i am a jerk from Mississippi talking of mighty strange thoughts. I realize that it does not fit perfectly with every doctrine out there, but it does seem to fit what we face today. One day the present will move into eternity. Just what are the details? I am for it whichever way it happens.

I always thought that the ark pointed to Jesus Christ and then how he is the 'heart' of the Church.

He is the manna from Heaven.
He is the rod that budded, pointing to his resurrection, a dry tree coming to life again.
The law is to be written on our heart and it was in the ark, a type for his heart?

So I then think deeper and that the ark is a type for the heart of a spiritual mankind.

Jesus is the reality that makes the tabernacle come alive. Without God the tabernacle is just a collection of hides, bronze lavers, poles, etc. When I speak of the symbols in us (put there by God at creation) they just point to the fact he made us to receive him into ourselves. We are worth nothing without his coming in to us.

It is all about the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me

I will say that the word Christian does contain Christ. Little vile us (wretched man) and a whole lot of Jesus.

I don't think they found it IMO it is forever lost or in Heaven. That said. it is not important without the GLORY the PRESENCE OF GOD.
The ark was the place where to presence of God dwelled with His people.

If the ark of covenant is really found, I am glad.
Not for my sake since I believe in Jesus who surpasses the ark, but for the sake of the skeptics and atheists who need physical evidences to believe in God.
Anything.... any discovery that brings even one soul to Christ is to be applauded.

@Hebrews 8:11 kjv
11. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

In the Old Testament things were passed down in order. One stone on top of another. New Testament seems different.

Per Revelation 11:19, which is timed for Christ's future return when all the kingdoms of this world become His, the ark of the covenant is mentioned then... being seen in Heaven...

Rev 11:19
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
KJV

That reveals anyone during this present world claiming that ark of the covenant is here on earth, is probably either deceived, or attempting to deceive.

Today's Orthodox unbelieving Jews in Jerusalem already have the materials ready to build their 3rd temple and startup the old covenant worship again. They don't believe Jesus is Messiah, so they still believe they are under the 'old covenant', which requires temple worship and sacrifices.

The Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 9:27 prophecy about the "abomination of desolation" IDOL to be placed in a temple there in Jerusalem at the END also requires a 3rd Jewish temple there, with old covenant sacrifices again.

The ark of the covenant is part of that old covenant temple worship. If the 'real' one is actually in Heaven with God, like Rev.11:19 shows, then if the Jews in today's Jerusalem produce one, do you think it will be the real one? I don't believe it will be the real one, but a fake, just like the coming false-Messiah God is preparing them to fall away to will also be a fake.

The law was placed in hearts and minds at Pentecost.
We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
We are made in the image of God

The Cerebellum (with a mid section dissection) looks like a tree planted on either side of a spinal fluid river.
Twenty four ribs bow before the heart (throne)
Cartlidge ribbons run from rib ends to the breastbone (making the breastbone look like a crown).

All just symbolism to show the ark is us.

Christ in us the hope of glory.
