Sounds like a suspense movie.

Here's the deal.
My sister visits, uses my Lenovo think pad laptop, plays a game on it where she has to put some kind of password in to play, and when she's done, she shuts off the computer.

That's it.
That's the whole story.
Except what happens next.

In the morning, I turn the computer on, her name is on it and her password is needed to get into the computer.
So she's one of these people (I never met another one before) that has over 100 passwords, a password for everything, and keeps her big list at home.

She tries about ten passwords, nothing works, and says goodbye and goes back home to the east coast.
So for 2 days I'm trying to get into my computer with no success.
Can someone help me here or do I have to hope I can pin down my sister long enough to go through her 100+ passwords and see if that works?

By the way, I went through the process of retrieving a password and getting a code from online and nothing works.
I've really spent my resources on this one.
I need someone's secret knowledge.

I found a program, it's gonna wipe out my personal info on the computer.
but i didn't have much on there to begin with
for better or for worse, i get back into the computer and we'll see what happens

Hammer app. Go to hardware store on Google play puchase and input the strike command over the tower repeat until acess Is allowed.

A month later I add my thoughts but glad you got in. How did you do it? You said turning the computer on that "her name was on it". Sounds like she somehow has her own log-in account. Why not then simply switch users at the start-up? Maybe you have a mean sister who would put in her own password? This is why I have my own account with a password. Everyone else goes on "guest" if they ever get to use my computer at all, and then they can go on anything they want. Nothing they go on would then hurt my account or the computer itself. It would be like a separate computer since this is truly multi-user.

Rule I had to impose after my brother-in-law hijacked my computer during an extended(uninvited) visit. If you don't live under my roof, you stay off my computer. Bring your own.

Password rest disk only works if you have created before losing that account password. Therefore, you had better to create this win 8 password reset disk when you set up an account. Still have difficult in creating
windows password reset disk?

It is wrong. There are password reset disks that you don't need to create it previously, such as NT Password, Ophcrack or UUkeys.

Grab a windows install disk, and boot from it

accept the language options but where it says install now, look in the bottom left corner it will have a repair my computer button, click on that

once that loads up, click on trouble shoot or advanced options, which ever is there, basically look around until you see CMD, once you find it, click on it to launch it.

then type c: and hit enter

cd into windows\system32

type rename sethc.exe sethc.old and hit enter (note this renames the sticky key program to sethc.old)

type rename cmd.exe sethc.exe and hit enter (note this renames cmd to the sticky key program)

reboot and let the computer boot from the hard drive, get to the point where it is asking for the password, then hit shift several times, a cmd windows will open

type net user and hit enter to list the accounts on the local computer

to change the password type net user username new-password (this will change the password without you needing to know the old one)

you can now log into that account, but be sure sometime soon to boot into the windows install disk again to undo the renaming.
